Hannah Kincaid- that, ma'am, was exactly my point- that he was missing/confusing what is (to those of us who do not live in Marin County) called 'getting off.'

Wavingpalms: If you can't see a connection between altered consciousness and "simple sexual excitement," you've never been done right... Not to TMI, but I've had acid-like hallucinations, blue lavadrips and such, after the act. The actual merits of "latex mind research" notwithstanding, your dismissal of the transformative powers of sexual ecstacy is grey-faced anhedonic reductionism, nothing more.

I enjoyed the Pre-False Enlightenment phase, when Love was such an easy game to play.

This sounds completely rational to me.

You Westerners are completely out of touch with meditation, that's the problem. You spend years practicing yoga and Relaxation Meditation. We Buddhists simply go to sleep. This is Imagination Meditation.

Until you have become enlightened you will always be suffereing from False Enlightenment.

Mark: I know you post things like this so we can make jokes, but this is a bit of a stretch.

pbbbt. How out of touch can one person be? His 'success' is likely due to his obvious inherent rubber-fetish (much of what he discusses seems to be mainstream attractions for people of that predilection), and his self-divulged fear of sex has caused him to confuse 'altered states' with simple sexual excitement.
Like I said, most troubling to me, he's so out of touch with himself that he can't even figure that much out.
