Unfortunately, the telephone's 8khz datastream coupled with noisy settings means that no current TTS engine even comes close to being able to do this reliably. With VXML, you can create limited grammars of recognizable words, as long as they don't sound too similar. I did this with my audio blogging setup to allow me to title entries in the field based on preset categories ("On the road", "At work", "At a restaurant", etc.) and I imagine Audblog will do something like this, eventually, too. 5 agraham999 02-21-2003 09:00 PM ET (US) Although I think it is pretty neat...I prefer to read the postings.
