I only teach one Waseda student, all other jobs are outside of the University. But I didn't know about those web pages, that's really helpful. Thanks!

Do you have any other part-time job outside of uni? IJEC and IC provide foreign students with pert-time job information though I think you know them. I visit IJEC when I look for pert-time job or volunteer works of teaching Japanese or our culture IJEC http://www.ijec.or.jp/IC http://www.icom-center.com/

I charge about same as you. 2000en for students, 3000en for normal people...but I'm poor so sometimes I just take whatever they give me. I correct some peoples TOEFL practice essays for a cup of coffee, for instance.

I teach for 3000yen/h,2000yen/h,and FREE (I wrote"1000yen/h"on my harigami). And you? How much is the reasonable fee?(..?) For,I had no experience to teach foreign students before that though I take on private teaching for more than 5000yen per lesson because I have teaching licenses of Japan. Among us,Japanese uni students, tutoring is one of the most lucrative job.

Hmmm. Yea sometimes I will translate words into Japanese, but only when we are stuck. Most of my students know enough English that I can describe a difficult word with other English words.
I focus on natural speaking and pronunciation. And also introduce many "bera bera" phrases, so that they can communicate quickly in everyday conversation.
I need to do more haragami though >_<, I'm poor sugiri dai yo! How much do you charge your students?

I met them(three persons)through a notice board (yea, harigami)and on the introduction of my friends. I make a plan(very rough) only for one of them(a beginner), because our talking was sometimes deadlocked without any plan. And I decide the places to visit beforehand as we somtimes practice outside of uni. Do you make it for every student? In what forms do you teach? Do you use Japanese in your lesson? Only English? I cannot help using English words when conversation is deadlocked for a few minutes. I don't know whether it's good or not. What do you think about it?

It's a windfall. I also have conversation students who want to learn informal Japanese.I meet unexpected but meanigful time though their directness sometimes perplex me. They say Japanese conjuction and word order at real conversation are complicated. Surprisingly, they sometimes know vogue words only among high school girls and ask me their means. I rather want to ask,"Where did you learn it? Are you going to use it?" creepy.. It's not easy to teach language.^^; The new conversation time become more valuable than 3000yen,I hope. Anyway,3000yen/h wa kanari oisii yo! You can kill two birds with one stone. You're lucky.
