Better Off Dead is a timeless classic (as was director Savage Steve Holland's animated TV series "Eek! the Cat"). Some of my other favorite underapreciated movies include Joe Versus the Volcano, L.A. Story, Real Genius, and David Byrne's True Stories.

I love The Dark Crystal and Sixteen Candles too, and I really enjoyed the Watership Down book when I read it. I'll have to check out the movie again.
