it makes me happy when i see better off dead as your #1. casually flipping the channels many years ago was how i discovered this eighties ridden treasure. sunday afternoon specials have not been as good since better off dead.
oh and i never thought to watch skiing could be as exciting.
xoxo.

Like you, I saw "Watership Down" at a tender age. It was years before I could look at a rabbit and not be slightly creeped out.

better off dead! yeah! there's another movie with john cusack, i think it's call "one crazy summer" with demi moore and boogah, also directed by steve holland. not as classic, but it can still make me giggle. he also did the encyclopedia brown series.

Better Off Dead is a timeless classic (as was director Savage Steve Holland's animated TV series "Eek! the Cat"). Some of my other favorite underapreciated movies include Joe Versus the Volcano, L.A. Story, Real Genius, and David Byrne's True Stories. I love The Dark Crystal and Sixteen Candles too, and I really enjoyed the Watership Down book when I read it. I'll have to check out the movie again.

I totally agree with #1 and #10. (Not JUST because they both star him, but ANY John Cusack movie would be on my list.) I said "I want my $2" yesterday!

Here's more movies I dig:
1. Alice (stop-motion film based on Alice in Wonderland) 2. Dogs in Space (the Aussie "Sid and Nancy" wanna be with the lead singer from INXS) 3. Rushmore 4. Meatballs (Bill Murray as a summer camp counselor) 5. Rocky Horror Picture Show (I know all the props dammit!) 6. Bladerunner (best futuristic movie around plus Harrison Ford and Sean Young before she flipped out.)
