Are you looking for an alpine skier for your team? Last years fastest alpine skier is available for a pro or otherwise competitive team. Call me at 387-0765 or email me at eric@linktransit.com to set something up. I am ready to rip!

If you are looking for a kayak check out Seattle Raft and Kayak. http://www.seattleraftandkayak.com/about-srk/contact
206.528.1700 (ask for owner Tim)

Last year they tranported the kayaks down to the race staging area and picked them up after the race.

We are first time competitors in the Rec mixed 40+ division. Is it possible to do the nordic leg on tele skis? Are tele skis considered nordic according to the rules?

Need a cross country skier? I'd love to do the race. Raced the cross country lag back in high school a few years ago and would love to do it again. honsinger.chad@gmail.com

Allright Mr Koos, Kevin said call you out again.... Lets up the stakes, If I beat you in the alpine then you paddle for me in the ski2sea,(in a rec boat). And who is this eric west guy...fastest alpine last year? Sorry bud, it surely wasn't you! ha ha ha. That is false advertising! Time for The Wildthing to retire with 25 irons if I finish, so shootin for last place. Am takin on bets on the alpine. So whatcha got for speed folks? (and I'm old and very slow!) Goin for the record, have worked out twice this year!

Hey WildThing, better check the stats from last year, I was the fastest alpine skier in the team division (pro open, Pipkin Construction). Remember, we have to run the hill, which adds a minute to the times.

Cindy, you can use Tele equipment in the nordic leg according to the rules but in the rec class you cannot use skating technique so you will have to have some sort of traction on the base (skins or kick wax) to allow you to propel yourself forward using classic technique. Won't be very efficient because there's lots of hills but it's ok if you want to do that.

So, the wenatchee water level's pretty much the same as last year and the river levels are about to start dropping as there does not appear to be a new melt cycle in the near forecast...any updates on the river course?

Good News! The Wenatchee River will still be a part of R2R 2009. It is actually higher than last year and tested last night and this morning with great reports. Tell all you know to register and be a part of this Great Adventure Relay Race - R2R, and once again travel the traditional course including the Wenatchee River.

can someone who has done this race before as a ironman or a tandem please fill me in on how to best make the exchanges from event to event -- we should be pretty fast and want to be as efficient as possible. in particular, i'm wondering how to best transition from nordic leg to alpine leg: what alpine gear is best, etc. could you contact me offline at vivahayduke@yahoo.com. much appreciated!

I am a skate or classic cross country skier looking for a team. I can skate in the pro-division or will classic in the rec divisions and have former experience in both at the R2R. I am open to participating in any division/category.
