Please pray that my friend ship with Emily will grow strong and that also it will be a friendship in balance with God's will, our friendship had suffered for about a year because I was firm in not dating her because she isn't a Christian. Satan had used that hurt to drive a wedge into our friendship, I've been hoping to see her Come to salvation for years, and hope that you will join me in praying for her salvation, I'd be honored to date her if she accepts Jesus, but I'll be happy if our friendship is restored to where it was just before then. She has gone through a lot since I met her. Her son has been taken away from her because of her drinking and she continues to stumble and have difficulties in her life although she desires a better life. She has grown to be an Angry young lady and needs help.

In my pre-salvation days I was an adult web designer but found jesus in 1999 - Since then I have spent my life serving the lord and I thank God for the gift of being able to write a book. My name is Ingrid and my friend Jeremie and Corey told me that you might be able to help me so, I guess this is the last resort in my last plead for a purpose on this earth. I have been struggling for a purpose and a reason on this earth for the last 6 weeks or so. There has been alot of things going on in my life. I pray to God daily and late at night when I am sitting in my room alone, tears begin to flow down my face, I cry out to him and beg him to help me to find a way to survive this world and give me hope to live in this world. I cry to him and don't even understand why in the world would he want to save me as a precious child of his. I was saved when I was 16 but I have lost touch of my faith and my true reason for this earth and for him. I have put him in front of me in everything that I have done. I struggle more and more each day to survive in this world. In the last two weeks I have had two friends commit suicide, one committed suicide by shooting herself in the head, the other is currently missing but they believe that she is dead, but they are unable to find her or her body or anything of her any longer. I feel like I have been struggling to breathe. I turned 23 on 7/5/07 and instead of jumping for joy for the miracle of life and being happy that it was my birthday, instead I looked at what I wanted for the future and if anyone in my life had ever truely cared. I could not think of anyone. I do not have a safe place to live, and I just fired from my job because my doctor told me that I am unable to work full time, so they fired me because I am unable to be given 32 hours a week and still stay on board with them, so they thought that it would be in there best interest to fire me. I have been looking at my life over the last several weeks and I honestly am sick of the pain. I do not have a mother or father that I am able to look at in a good way. My parents never wanted me and have told me that I was a mistake. I haven't spoken to my mother in over 3 years and my father, I have tried to contact my father and the last time that I tried to contact him, I wrote him a letter, and mailed it to him, he sent me a letter back to me I. Hoflin and never actually opened the letter.

I am still trying so hard to see my reason here on this earth, the other night as I sit in my room, I thought anbout my life and where my life has gone and come to. I am a wasted life of God, I have no reason on this earth. About 3 nights ago, I was sitting on my bed late at night and I prayed to God and tears began to pour from my face, I asked God for forgiveness that I was not a good enough soul to be living on this earth. I am normally this happy go lucky type of girl, but I see no reason for a future. I have a landlord who just wishes that she would not have to deal with me, I have a job that the bosses don't really like. I asked 15 of my closest friends earlier today that if I was to disappear would it matter and none of them told me in a straight foreward answer that I would be missed, I had a couple of them tell me that they would be glad that I was out of their lives. I have tried so hard for so long, to give life, to give love, to give a reason to live for those around me. I have tried so hard to love people and to find the good in people when everyone else had given up on them or when everyone looked at them,and told me to walk away. I have lived my life for 22 years old in the best possible way, I tried to give life to others, I have tried to help those who were hurting or didn't believe in lives themselves.

So many of my friends told me today that they would not miss me if I were gone, some thought that this was a game and that I was just fucking bullshitting. I can't fucking do this anymore. I can't fucking be that "cheerleader" that I once was. I have tried to live my life in a non selfish way. Too many of my friends, have killed themselver, have died from other means. I don't have a mother or father that I can go running to. I can't go running to my father and yell at him, father hold me, hold me. I think a breaking point for me, was fathers day, I went to church that Sunday morning and I saw all these happy families, hugging each other and smiling. I look at my wonderful boyfriend Jeremie, who has the life, he is 27 years old and still living at home. He has wonderful parents who care enough about him that they give him a place to live, is helping him with his bills and his car. I know that I haven't really ever seen his parents hug him or show emotional support but he has at least some sort of support. I had a counselor ask me the other day "Have you ever felt safe?" "Have you ever had any sort of family that didn't hurt you" "Have you ever had any man in your life not hurt you" "Have you ever felt loved for an extended period of time more then a year or for the feelings of a lifetime"?

The amazing thing is never to any of those questions. I just feel so dirty inside. I don't know how to deal with this anymore. I have tried for so long to heal from the pain, I know that there are people out there who have had worst lives then me, I really honestly shouldn't be complaining or writing this all down, but it needs to I guess go somewhere.

As I mediate on those questions, I have realized that my life was given to me, to be given to God, but when one no longer knows what love feels like, what truely compassion is, one who has no idea what having a true family, a family that neither mother or father doesn't judge there children, doesn't give up on them or refuses to talk to them. Three years age i wrote a letter to my father and sent it out to him, my father never even opened that letter, he put it in another evenlope and addressed it I. Hoflin. He didn't even have the gutts to read his own daughter letter to him.

 

What am I on this earth for? Is there even a reason to live on this earth? Just writing this down, struggling really hard with all aspects of my life and living.

While I sit here in my room pondering what I shall do?

Wondering if there is really a God, or really good in this world?

I really don't know what to do and I am truely hoping that you have some sort of hope. I desperately in need of prayer and a miracle. I don't know what else to do. Please help me.

This is a prayer request towards Micheal and Kathy in Houston, who are hate-mongering white supremacists and are harassing minorities in my neighborhood calling the police and social services on innocent people all because of thier bigotry and prejudice.         Firstly, please pray for that my mother was cheated by Mr. Kwong, Mr Ho, Hin Chai and Anna the year before, she went to a company and worked as an Office assistant, but they cheated my mother, and compelled my mother to give her money out to them(they cheated my mother that the money was used for investment, and the investment was failured), and went away, thank God for that the policemen arrested Mr. Kwong now, but the Mr. Ho , Hin Chai and Anna were still not arrested, please pray for that God can help the policemen in the investigation, and find the evidence to accuse the Mr. Kwong and his helper in the judiciary court, thank God for that the policemen sent us several letters till now about that the investigation is in the progressing, please pray for that God can move their heart, Mr. Kwong , Mr. Ho, Hin Chai and Anna will regret about that they cheated my mother, and they can have pity on my mother , and return the money back to my mother , thank you.

Your question is really one for a lawyer, although if you're having financial trouble that may not be a real option. My gut feeling is that you probably will not get the funds until the estate is settled. But do let the executor of the person's estate know (and maybe the lawyer doing the probate) that you do have the check to be charged against the funds once they are available. Maybe someone else knows a different answer or there's a lawyer out there who can weigh in, but I'm guessing that at this point you'll have to wait. Wish I could be more encouraging!

a very dear friend has been suggesting that he help me with some financial burdens that i have . this frien went into the hospital recently and he at that point made it clear to myself and his financial assistant that he was giving me this help- and wrote me a check and i graciouslly accepted it due to his final wishes--his assistant was aware of the situation . so i went to the bank to carry out his last request and wasnt able to cash this gift check-the account is frozen- my question is that since he give me this gift to use for my situation is there a way to cash this check without waiting for the estste to be settled since it was written and dated a week prior to his death- thiis gentleman was in sound mind right to the very end and he knew what he wanted to do with his finances. any help is appreciated

Please pray for miracle for my family. Yesterday, I received a letter from the IL revenue Department demanding $900 for past taxes. Unfortunately, for 3 years because of my mental condition and depression, I did not submit my taxes because of the stresses I was going through, trying to keep up with the bankrupcy which finally happened in 2005. I neglected my responsibility because I was trying to save the house. Pray that when I call on Monday 5/8/06 that the person handling our case will be understanding and something can be worked out that we will be able to handle financially. My husband is disabled and I have not worked for over a year.
I praise God for sending me a compassionate person who will provide us with a workable solution.

Please pray for a family whose father is dying of cancer. He has been going through a divorce and his cancer turned terminal in March. He is such a sweet, loving, giving man who will be missed. I pray that his family will find healing during this difficult time. He will probably not make it through the day and I pray for his daughter who is about to celebrate her birthday.

Cathy Van Meter's heart will be open to a relationship with me, Duane, to serve the Lord in any way.

Please pray for Cody Tucker, 26 yo who was thrown from a truck that flipped over 3X. He is in the trauma unit at Lee Memorial in Ft Myers FL. He has serious brain injuries and swelling. He had to have emergency surgery this morning to remove some damaged brain tissue they thought the blood flow was being blocked by this and contributing to the swelling. If the swelling does not go down soon he will not pull through. Please pray God will give Cody and his family a miracle.

     God will provide for you. The only way you won't get to go to Canada, is if God sees something about it that won't be good for you. As far as the everyday misery of bills to pay, I understand. But I KNOW He will help you. My daughter and I "almost" ended up homeless last year, EXCEPT for the grace of God. It was God alone who intervened and saved us from being homeless. I had to write to you. I need some prayers to help me ! I have always had a life where I have had to just slog along but always managed to get by. Okay I do not have much of a life...I do not have any social life to talk about. never go out and get drunk ( I do not really want to do that anyway !) Quite recently I gave up smoking. I was smoking around 40 cigarettes a day and it was costing me a fortune..so I managed to quit.
However to cut a long story short, I booked another holiday to Canada using my visa card. The holiday is booked for August 2006. I was really looking forward to returning to Canada to visit my very dear friends over there, especially my good friend Tom. I thought I was secure enough with my work situation - so just booked the holiday.
However, I just heard that the factory where i work making disposable contact lenses is going to make 98 people redundant. I am terrified in case I lose my job, even if I do not lose my job I would be taken of the continental shifts that I work and put onto a fixed five day 40 hour week shift. ( this would be a loss of around £170 a month at the most !) I cannot afford to lose all that, mind you it is better than not having a job at all. But I need enough money to live off. I have rent to pay, council tax to pay, gas, electric, food, insurance, phone bill, car expenses, my visa cards to pay, insurance for my home to pay, life insurance to pay, and a lot of other deductions that have to be paid every month. I honestly do not know what I am going to do.
I need God to make some sort of financial "miracle" happen in my life so that I shall have enough money to pay for all these needs. I want to be able to know that there IS light at the end of the tunnel without having to scrimp and scape wondering how on earth I am going to get by. I was so looking forward to my two weeks holiday in Canada ( Lethbridge) in August 2006. I do not have much things to ever look forward to in life..and this was to be the highlight of my year...my holiday in Canada with my friends over there. If only God could make all of this possible for me. If only God could ease my burden and remove all the anxiety that I am feeling and all this depression that I am feeling. I had to suffer redundancy in the year 2001 and that was bad enough, but one good thing about it was that I came away with a good enough redundancy payment that helped me along until another job came along. I have not been in this job long so any redundancy payment would NOT really amount to much financial help. I have been trying to think positive. But it is hard to do that when depressive thoughts loom ahead ! I am praying to God to help me and to make some sort of miracle happen in my life that will bring to me joy and happiness and remove all my financial worries. I have no idea what I expect him to do..but then again it is not for me to question the way that God will work to make a miracle happen. However I need other people to pray with me. It is said that prayer is far more powerful when several people pray about the same thing.

        Firstly, please pray for that my mother was cheated by Mr. Kwong, Mr Ho, Hin Chai and Anna the year before, she went to a company and worked as an Office assistant, but they cheated my mother, and compelled my mother to give her money out to them(they cheated my mother that the money was used for investment, and the investment was failured), and went away, thank God for that the policemen arrested Mr. Kwong now, but the Mr. Ho , Hin Chai and Anna were still not arrested, please pray for that God can help the policemen in the investigation, and find the evidence to accuse the Mr. Kwong and his helper in the judiciary court, thank God for that the policemen sent us several letters till now about that the investigation is in the progressing, please pray for that God can move their heart, Mr. Kwong , Mr. Ho, Hin Chai and Anna will regret about that they cheated my mother, and they can have pity on my mother , and return the money back to my mother , thank you.

Lost my job in Oct. owe 3 months rent (possible eviction very close), behind in my cable bill (possible disconnect), owe other bills (being threatened & pressured by creditors), no money for food and daily needs. (used up my visits to food banks) Local churches are too overwhelmed by more needy families to help. Just had hernia operation should not work or look for work (as per doctor’s advice) till operation is healed. I live alone and have no family, relatives or friends for any kind of support. There are times like that. Some of the Psalms express just what you're feeling...that the world sometimes seems that the wicked prosper and the righteous go away empty. Read Psalm 10. Also Psalm 22 which Jesus quoted on the Cross. Even Jesus felt like God had forsaken him.

That's also how the Israelites felt when they left Egypt and wandered in the wilderness. Even after seeing all of God's incredible miracles on their behalf, they still complained and wanted to return to Egypt. God had a promised land for them, but they had to go through the wilderness time.

I have found that to be true in our spiritual lives. Our initial Christian faith is full of joy, excitement and a sense of closeness to God. But at some point, God puts our faith to the test...we enter the wilderness where we can see if we have real faith or if we're just in it for the signs and wonders and fringe benefits. That's what the book of Job is about. Why are people good? Why do we cling to God? Is it just for the stuff God will give us or to have God take care of us or is it because God is the truth and is worthy of worship?

Jesus never promised his disciples an easy life. He promised to be there with them always. He promised that all things would work together for the good of the Kingdom of God. But he never said it would be easy. He said to take up your cross and follow him. Many who have done that have been killed for it, as Jesus was.

It will not always be wilderness. There is a promised land, but just as Jesus needed to get through his wilderness temptations to start his ministry, your own faith needs to be strengthened in this wilderness time.

You are not alone. God is with you. You might get the signs and wonders that you seek, or it might be that God would like to have your trust rather than always seeking proof. That's what faith is...stepping out in the dark when you can't be sure if there's a bridge under your feet or not. Faith and knowledge are different things. God wants your faith, and that will lead to knowledge.

May God bless you and fulfill your desires, and may your faith grow in this time of trial.

None of us can tell the future. Only God knows what is best for you, Deepu. Pray for wisdom to accept God's good will for your life. Thank God that you are blessed with this time to grow in HIS knowledge. Thank God for sending HIS only son to suffer so that you can live and breathe the air of life. Jesus loves you more than you love yourself. You must ask God to show you how to love Jesus. You have more than you are aware of. God is showing you a great miracle every time HE allows you to take another breath. I pray that you express your love for Jesus always, not only in a religious ceremony or in a church; but that you will express your love for Jesus when you are alone and with only yourself. I pray that you will know Jesus' great love for you when you have nobody else to listen to your cries for help. I pray that you will really know Jesus' love. I pray that you will be blessed with a great power (perhaps a miraculous power) to profess Jesus' real love to other people who are facing a much darker pit of despair than what you have expressed. Find Jesus' love within your heart. Do not judge your gifts based on what you believe that other's have. I pray to Our Lord that you are blessed with a real FAITH. When you find Jesus' love within yourself then share this love with somebody who has no hope. To be a Christian means to be like Jesus. Before Jesus performed a miracle HE asked the person if they believed. Believe in what you are praying for and it will become real. It is a physical law of the universe that we create what we believe. It's called a "self-fulfilling prophecy". Please read your Bible Job 5. I pray that you will know Jesus' love and that you will express Jesus' love to people who are less fortunate than you. This will make you grow strong and wise. Amen.

Thanks for your prayer request. Jesus certainly does need our help to be his hands and feet in this world...to tell others what he has done for us and to feed the hungry, set the oppressed free, and do the other things that Jesus' calls us to do as the Body of Christ in the world.

Fortunately, although Jesus endured the Cross and took our sins upon himself, Jesus triumphed over that, rose from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven. His salvation is already assured and achieved.

But you are right that Jesus needs our help...we need to be Christ for others while we live in this world.

I need some prayer support right now. I am so tired. Our little dog, Lassie, got very sick and had to be put down day before yesterday. I miss her so much. She was my constant companion. I hurt so bad. We just had to have our outside dog put down last month. Everything is too quiet. I just don't think I can do this. I am very grateful to find this site. Sometimes I feel all alone in my love for animals and my questions. Please pray for me and for my family. I needed Lassie so much. She has been with us through some really tough times. Her calm nudge and constant presence was something I really depended on.  Please pray for my cat Kiki. I found out tuesday that she has liver disease (CRF). Just a week ago she was jumping up on my bed 2-3 times a night to get her "pet me" fix. Now the precious thing can barely walk. I'm hanging on to the hope of a miracle. It's killing me to see her like this.

Human minds and human eyes are not the minds of God nor the eyes of God. His mind is greater than all of the greatest earthly peoples' minds. My daughter and I started rescuing cats 2-years-go. Since then, we had to move because the landlady no longer wanted to rent the house, as she was going to live in it herself.
Between moving, worrying about my landlord finding out I have the cats (No pets allowed!), my car dying, and lack of enough money for vet bills, I now realize I have to give up all my cats; 4 adults and 3 kittens. I am so depressed.
I've exhausted all shelters, people, etc., to try and get them GOOD
homes. Nothing. I have to do this as quickly as possible because, I
swear, it's as if they know, by the way they look so sad now. And if my landlord finds out, I could get evicted. ALL the cats are indoor and healthy.
My daughter, Brianna, and I used to come to your SPCA to help out last year. We miss coming but I no longer have a car, and NO ONE will bring us. My father did bring Brianna for about an hour last month, but will no longer do so, even though he could, or loan us his car to come. Pathetic! Like I always say, “There’s nothing like family.”
They will be scared and confused until they're euthanized. I know you will do your best to get them homes, but I also know you have many cats.
My older daughter, Michelle Bernard, is bringing them to you because we can’t get enough gas money to drive me back to Canadensis, and because I can’t stop crying. I have no money today, but if you will send me your mailing address, I will send somewhat of a donation on October 1st when the check comes.
Here is the information on the cats/kittens:

Hermione – Female, Mommy to the 3 kittens, white and gray/black Angora, SWEET disposition, 2 or 3-yrs-old, not spayed, NO thanks to our local, greedy “vets!!!”

Fleo – Male, tiger/domestic, SWEET disposition, 2-yrs-old, neutered.

Ginny – Female, Gray and white Angora, Fiesty and skittish, but very loving once her trust is earned, 1-yr-old, not spayed.

Frisky – Male, Domestic,white with black spots, very loving but a bit of a “scaredy cat”, gets afraid at times, 1-yr-old, not neutered

The 3 kittens – I “think” 2 females and 1 male. Sweet, love to play.

All cats/kittens are very close to each other, all are litter trained and healthy, and eat on their own. They’ve all been kept indoors. All love to chase string, rolled up paper, and their toys. Obviously, they’re not used to being caged, but I know you have to do things as they work for you. They’ve been fed dry food, can food, and treats, but I realize you have your own agenda by donations, etc.

This is killing me, but I have no choice but to give them up. You will never know how much I appreciate you taking them, and I can only pray that someone can take them and love them. You are the ONLY place who will take them. I feel it’s far past time for these animal rescue places to update their websites. They claim to take pets in, but then they don’t. I’m exhausted from being on the phone and sending emails for the past month, pleading with them for help.

If you can, PLEASE let them sleep on their blankets all together. They’re used to sleeping together on soft blankets with us. If you can’t get them good homes, and they start to grieve, please put them down. I can’t bear the thought of them feeling abandoned and waiting for me to bring them home.

Please pray for me to have the courage to grieve and bear the recent unexpected loss of my beloved cat Eliot. He was only 4 years old was is my first pet - we loved each other alot. It was a shock to find his limp, warm body as he had no signs of illness - but his heart murmur killed him. I kept his body with me all night.
It was an awful ordeal and now the emptiness greets me every time I get home...and in every room.

Caroline, Godiva knows without a doubt how much you loved him. I lost my sweet Grace two weeks ago, and I can tell you that the pain does calm down with time. It will still ambush me when I am in the places she was most frequently, but I'm getting closer to being able to vacuum...I didn't want to take up the last of the dog hair. It's slow and hard and never completely goes away, but it will get to a point where you can cope again and give your love again.

I gave a donation in Grace's memory to the Humane Society of the US (www.hsus.org) to help with the stranded, hurt animals in the wake of Katrina. That made me feel good.

Like Tina, my request seems "small" compared to all that is going on in the world in Gulf Coast region and in Iraq, but I lost my beloved 16 year old cat Godiva. He was an incredibly loved animal. I miss him terribly and have not stopped crying in the two days since it happened. I do pray for peace and comfort for myself and my other animals and pray that he knew how very much I loved him.

Perhaps your sister has already been down these roads, but she should be sure to talk to a social worker to be sure she is getting all the assistance that is available to her. She may be eligible for funds like SSI, depending on her health status, and there might be other state or local assistance programs.

There are people who simply fall through the cracks, who earn $5 too much for help and that sort of thing. But I have found that many people come to the church for aid and we discover that there are programs that can help to pay for prescriptions, get them a break on utilities, help with food, etc. Often word about such things has a hard time getting out to the people who need it.

Again, it may be that Amy has already searched out all there is, but I wanted to raise it just in case. And I will certainly pray!

I am asking for prayer for my sister Amy, husband and I, Bonnie and Trond.

This has been the most difficult year of my sister’s life. She has been without a job for almost a year now. We are praying she can find the right job she can handle heath wise. My husband is helping her the best we can financially. It is not enough. Please pray that she not lose her home and a door will open for her. I am an Amercian married to a Norwegian living in Norway. Amy is living in the U.S. It is so hard to be so far always from her. We are very close as sisters. Most of all I pray that she will have the faith and courage to go back to church and renew her faith in God. She has suffered terribly with depression, panic attacks and anxiety. We truly need a miracle for a way to open up for our family. My husband has taken 2 jobs and wonders how long he can keep up this. We are not young and it is hard to see him get so exhausted. We pray for answers and would be extremely grateful for any prayer said in our behalf.

Let's be mindful here of Jesus' admonitions not to call others "fool," and to be careful not to read into the prayer requests of others. Caterina didn't say she was married to a non-believer. She said they were spiritually weak. Even strong Christian couples go through desert times of spiritual weakness.

And certainly many marriages go through times when one person is ready for children and another is not. I would hope responses to honest cries for prayer in these pages could be met with God's love and kindness, not judgment--and certainly not judgment for things that aren't even stated in the request.

The loss is deep and real, especially when you've gone through so much together. My prayers are with you.

This sounds so small compared to what I am reading here, I am almost embarrased to ask for prayer. But my grief is real and I am having a problem getting over the loss of my dog. He was the only unconditional love I had in my life. And I have had other big losses in recent years... my mother from Alzheimer's, my nephew drowned, a beloved aunt for whom I was primary caregiver as she aged... and through all of these, I had the comfort and love of this wonderful dog. And now he is gone, it seems like the grief from all those other losses has renewed, and since I live alone, the absence of my canine companion at home, is just a huge hole in my life. I try to convince myself he was here for a reason... to get me through those losses and help me be stronger, to give me someone steadfast to love during that time, and now he knows he has travelled with me as far as he should, his time is over and I should be strong now. But it is hard.

Hi Maria. I am a Medical Consultant in my professional life. God works through people. Please find a Medical Doctor who will help you to lose the weight. It is not all psychological. God has created some people with more "appetite" than others. If you accept yourself, then, you will be healthier emotionally and the weight may drop as a secondary effect. First, though, you should have a Medical Doctor evaluate your health. There are physical problems that cause excessive appetite and weight: e.g. hypothyroidism, diabetes, anemia, depression, and others that your doctor will evaluate specifically in your case. If you have no physical cause then he will help you to find appropriate psychological help. I believe that you want to lose weight. The Lord will work through somebody to help you to lose the weight in a healthy way. God will bless you. God made you perfect. Who on earth is capable of judging you as "over-weight"? Nobody. If you are physically or mentally ill, then, you will be helped through a legitimate Medical Doctor who is doing the Lord's will to help you. Believe that you are created in the image and likeness of God. You will lose excess weight. I pray for you to follow the advice of your Physician. Amen.

7 months ago, I started seeing a recently divorced, CHRISTIAN woman with 3 kids - NONE of them from her ex.

She does NOT want to keep it, and is scheduling an ABORTION sometime next week (1/24 - 1/28). It will be 9 weeks along in the pregnancy...

Her ABUSIVE ex (whom her kids hate, and is not ANY of the kids father) has been trying to win her back - he does not know her present condition. She is secretly (without her kids knowledge) running back to him - and running from this.

This man is into teen porn and drugs - she is a christian that is running to THAT, just to escape reality.

Please pray for my 7 year old Siamese cat and best friend Oscar.
He has been diagnosed as having chronic kidney failure, and whilst the vet is trying to stablise his condition, it seems Oscar has not much time left in this world as the disease is very advanced.
Since he was a kitten, Oscar has battled with Feline Infectious Anaemia, and has been at deaths door more than once.
He is a tough little fighter though, and has managed to combat the anaemia. Even now he is fighting hard with this kidney disease. Please pray for him and for me. Thank you from both of us.

I have never asked for prayers from a large number of people and I am hoping that by doing so we may feel the love and sense the hope that we need so much. Please pray for Sky, a friends huskie which he sent to heaven because her thyroid condition could not be controlled byt mediation anymore. I took care of her for a very long time and paid for her medication for seveal years when her owner couldn't. Her body was so ravaged with pain and agony, I am very happy that God has taken her in and wrapped his loving arms around her, I pray that he has at least. Please also pray for myself, I am a divorced mother with 3 children ages 17-12, I have had MS for 5 years now and over the past year it has started to show it's ugly face by taking my legs form me. I used to be the mother that went camping,boating,skating, swimming. You name it and I did it with my kids. I feel so badly for them, they are losing the mother that they once had. Their father is not in their life at all as he is a severe abuser. I am all they have. Please pray for my that my legs are not taken from me any worse than now (I am walking with short arm crutches) and that over time I may be able to once again walk without them and do the things with my kids that makes us all happy. He said when the drinking stopped he found out who his true friends really were. I will pray with God's help your husband will stop drinking and find who his true friends really are.

This morning I said a prayer for Cindi and the family of Bo and Ryan. I also said a prayer for Angela Brayan for a safe and happy life for her and her children.
       We do not know why bad things happen to good people. I don't think God puts a gun or a knife in someone's hand and tells them to use it. I think God is there begging them not to use it and that there is an evil voice they are listenning to and that person is not letting God into their heart and mind. Agnes

"February 1st, 2002...It was a parent's worst nightmare. Our sons, Bo Upton (age 18) and Ryan Shangraw (age 20) were murdered. The murderers have not been caught. We (and our families and friends of Bo and Ryan) are sending this to you as part of our National Prayer Chain. We are asking you to please have your church to pray with us.

"Our National Prayer is that the murderers, who so violently took the lives of Bo Upton and Ryan Shangraw will be caught. This happened in Lincoln County, in Kentucky. We are praying that justice will be served and that we will have closure from such a horrific crime. We pray that there will be an increase in the budget for the Kentucky State Police (which in our district, is 6 detectives for 11 counties) so that our detective, Monte Owens will be able to work the amount of hours needed on this case. We are also praying that God will be with Detective Owens and will guide him on his search for justice.

    I would like to answer your prayer request. First, I strongly wish you would not fly anyway to meet with a stranger. If the man is interested in you the best thing would be for him to come here and meet the other grownups in your family.
     The first question i would ask this man is he a Christian. The next thing I would want to do is have him attend church with you and see how he relates to God's words and your peers in church.
     First, people should become good friends before making decisions if someone is right for them or not. Marriage is a commitment between two people and shouldn't be entered into quickly. There are decisions to make before getting married about your married life together concerning the handling of money, upbringing of children, mutual respect. At church functions there is fun and good times to enjoy while you are deciding if this man is someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.
    Spend some time making friends with yourself first and donot fly someplace to meet a stranger no matter how nice the person may or may not be.

       We get hurt by unkind words or deeds and it makes us feel helpless to do anything about yet there is something we can do about it. I will pray for you. In my prayer I will ask that you don God's helmet and His shield. One is God's love and the other is His Word, the Bible. I will also pray you will noticed God's blessings for you each day. For if God is for us, who can be against us?
       God's blessings for the day is easier for me to tell you mine for today. Your request for a prayer was the first one. I don't know why it made me feel good but think it is that when we help others we help ourselves. Another blessing is a child wanted me to share an old movie with her. Two more blessings came from that. The first was noticing the new fallen snow out my window that looked like a picture postcard or a painting. The second blessing was this little person wanted a few hugs.
      I will pray that if your depression goes on too long you will seek the advice of your doctor. Depression is an illness and sometimes we need more then what we can do for ourselves about it.
       Last, I will pray that you know that God is around you and inside of you.

       Reading your prayer request I said a quick prayer for your son-in-law and your dog Sam and will say a longer one. I really feel that your son-in-law is in a happier place now and all his pain has been removed. It is his family and you I will pray for too.
       Surely God loves animals and Sam is in heaven. God made all types of animals among other wonders he made. I don't think the God I love would enjoy looking at roads made out of gold and jewels when loving hearts and souls are his desire. Some people think the roads in heaven are made of gold and jewels. I said a quick prayer for Sam and will say a longer prayer tonight.

We have had a rough year with surgery and illness in our immediate family and the loss of our son-in-law to lung cancer in the spring. We recently had to have our 17 year old dog, Billy, put down, and we are feeling very sad and having a bit of a depressive time. It seems we have been going through a very threatening time and having many losses in our lives. We ask that you pray for our son-in-law, Sam, and our little dog, Billy. We miss them both very much.

I am a single mother of two children. I have recently met a man that I am interested in dating...I am requesting prayer that I be shown if he is right for me or not...I have had several bad relationships in the past and seek Gods will for my life in this matter. I am supposed to fly out to Miami Fl to visit with him. Please pray that God shows me a sign if this is not right for me.
If this is god will I ask that you pray that this realationship be blessed..If not that God would bless me with a Godly man and give my heart contentment in my present situation.

We have a special need in our family. This may sound silly, but our family dog is very ill, and we are having a really hard time with this. Losing her right now, in the midst of so many other things we have gone through, would be very hard on everyone. I know God heals, period...and healing our friend wouldn't be a problem for Him to do. You may have already done this, but have you read any books or gone to any classes on finding a job...especially interview skills? If you are getting interviews it seems like there are jobs for which others think you are qualified, so that is not the issue. The issue seems to be getting past the interview. You may be unconsciously doing something in the interview that is messing you up. There may even be some interview tips and tricks that are online and would cost you nothing...or a book from the library. Just wanted to pass the thought along.

I have been unemployed for 2 1/2 years. I have 4 kids and we are severely getting behind. I am not lazy. I have interviewed, but I never get the job. My wife can no longer carry us on her salary.  In August of last year I asked for a divorce and I really did not see me ever reconciling with my husband or even wanting to for that matter. While I was out of state on a trip that I never should have been on in the first place (that is for another prayer request) he filed, I was not upset or surprised. Though I asked the divorce was mutual and I went out to live my life separate from Brett.

In our marriage I really did not pull my weight, financially or otherwise. I was unemployed since January of 2003. I did not do much to save money, just spend it! Things got so bad and we just could not communicate at all.

Our divorce was final at the end of October of last year and I have had so much time to think about what I really want in life. I realized the mistakes that I made and how not to make them again and I have realize what is really important.

I pray that our marriage can one day be restored. That Brett will let me into his life and his heart once again.

I do have a good feeling about all of this, even though I am afraid that I am just feeling this way because that is what I want. I honestly don't think so, but I have had similar feelings in the past that turned out to be so wrong (not pertaining to this)

I was so sad to read your message and will certainly pray for you, as will others who read it. When you feel alone, it's doubly hard to lose an animal companion as well.

When money is tight, it is hard to add a pet because of all the added expenses. You may not have the option of getting another dog to help ease the loneliness. I don't know your situation at all, but you might want to consider volunteering at an animal shelter or some other agency where you could help animals or people. Lots of times helping others can help you and can give meaning and purpose to your life.

Through all the hard times, be sure to keep praying. Talk to God just like you would talk to Cricket or a good friend. Don't worry about using the right words. Just tell God how you feel and ask for help. Pray out loud. Then spend some time in silence. Read the Bible. God doesn't always answer our prayers in the way we would like, but God does always answer us with love.

Drug addiction is a horrible master. Tammi certainly has my prayers, as do you and those who are working with her in rehab.

Please pray for a miracle for Tammi. She is 22 and a heroin addict. Her dad got her started on drugs when she was 14 and she has been using heroin for the past year. She almost died 4 times because of it. Imoved form NY to FL 2 weeks ago to get her away from her dad and friends in NY. She found drugs the 2nd day we were here and is now in her 6th rehab because she has no other place to go. Pray she is covered in the blood of Jesus, he delivers her, sets her free and gives her hope. Please claim psalms 91, 121 and 107 over her. Pray for a miracle. Thank you and God Bless you.

It's terribly hard to lose a pet who has been a part of your life for that long. They become family. Little rituals can be helpful in such times. Light a candle, say a prayer, tell stories about the fun times. Remember bonds of love are forever bonds. God is love, and whatever is established in love is established in God. You will always have a connection to your dog. My prayers are with you and your spouse.

I just had to put my loving dog to sleep this morning.

This is a truly thoughtful and wonderful idea for a topic. I shall pray for all mentioned here, plus our good friend's mother battling cancer with very low spirits (NOT the way to do it) and my wife's mother who is healing from an ice-given broken ankle. I lift up also Anne's mother. May all find the healing power of connection to the Spirit, if they have not already. Some things are meant to be as spiritual lessons, so I pray at least that those will occur, with phyiscal healing to follow! :)
