What's really frightening about this story is that Coble is not only a Congressman, but is head of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
His wolf-in-sheep's-clothing justification for that view? "We were at war. They [Japanese-Americans] were an endangered species. For many of these Japanese-Americans, it wasn't safe for them to be on the street." I see, we interned them from the best philanthropic motives...to protect them.
Not too far from "We bombed the village in order to save it."
