Just wanted to say how happy I was to be advised of this new ROYALIST site. I still have the original software but it creates an error on my computer. With the new addition I will not worry about losing it! Thank you.

I heard that the current British Royal family was distantly related to Vlad Tepes also known as dracula. Is this true????

A new genealogy titled SAYRE FAMILY...another 100 years was published "print-on-demand" in July 2003. It primarily includes descendants of David and Hannah (Frazier) Sayre who came to the Monongalia County, Virginia, area from New Jersey in 1778. About 1800, David, Hannah, and some of the children, already with families relocated in the Letart area on the Ohio River. Their children and grandchildren spread over the United States. Volumes II, III, and IV are specifically of these descendants. Volume V finishes them up and includes a few other branches plus family groups which a common link was not yet found. More information may be had by sending an email to my autoresponder at books@123response.com. And you can access the website http://www.iuniverse.com and type "sayre" in the bookstore search box at the upper right.

I wondered if there was any significance to the middle names given to Royals i.e were they prior surnames? Nash is the middle name of one of the royal from Lascelles family(Rowan). Also what would be your suggestion on establishing royal lineage to someone that is American. I have been tracing my family background. Nash seems to be a primary line that links my family to Britain, but also I married a man that has links to the Howard lineage so how would I go about establishing familial links? By the way I live here in GB.

HI, I was wondering if anyone had a family tree that would link the lancasters of 1300's (Maybe the kings??) to someone living today. If anyone has this information, please e-mail me at RedDevilGrl6565@netscape.net. I appreciate any feedback.
Thanx

I'm doing a report for school over my family history. The only things that I know about my family is that we come from Europe and that we have a family crest. I really don't know what the crest is subpost to mean or symbolyze. So if anyone could help me let me know. you can get a hold of me at howielover_4@yahoo.com thanks, Terri

Debbie When compiling the original database, we deliberately decided not to use the term "Catholic" for those who lived before the Reformation. This was because we felt the word carries an implied distinction from "Protestant", a distinction that only became meaningful after the Reformation. Sorry if that's confusing - it would perhaps have been clearer to avoid specifying religion at all!

Hello!
I noticed that as far as religion goes, anyone that lived before the Reformation is listed as having Pre-Reformation religion, but anyone afterwards is listed, most times, as Protestant. Before Pre-Reformation was in all likelihood Catholic. Why isn't this mentioned? All of Europe was Catholic (some are still Catholic countries, even now) in the Middle Ages. Why not just say so? Wouldn't it be clearer to do so?

Anca Try using the RoyaList quick search (at the top of every page) - just enter a word in the search box, select Notes and click the Go button. You'll get a list of people who have that word in a note. For example, Queen Victoria has a note about lions.
