Then yes, your schedule can be changed without notice, with no premium pay due.

If your were a regular, your hours could still be changed on a temporary basis, but you would have to be paid a premium, depending on the circumstances.

Is used sick time counted as time in grade? In other words, if I was in a position for 4 1/2 yrs. and had to take sick leave for for a 1/2 yr., would I then have 5 yrs. in service?

biged - Paid leave does count as time in service for retirement computation. LWOP of less than six months in a calender year also counts as time in service.

Thanks for the response to my earlier query. Is the time in service information also true for Insurance purposes? I plan on carrying my APWU insurance over when I retire and need to be in the plan for 5 yrs. I also need foot surgery that may put me out of action on sick leave for six months. I don't want to schedule the operation if it affects my time in service.

When the dust settles from this incentive deal, I wonder if light duty and IOD people will be let go? That's what I heard, but you know how PO rumors are.
