I agree with most of that message. But the purpose of war with Iraq isn't money- it's power. Power is way more important than money. America needs to show that it has power, that no one can stand up to it. Wars are almost never fought for economic reasons. The first gulf war reduced the amount of oil we got from Iraq. FRENCH and RUSSIAN oil companies serve to profit from war with Iraq, because of existing contracts. If all America wanted was more oil we could have it, today, by accepting the Saddam regime. What was the economic impetus behind Haiti? Vietnam? Bosnia? Panama? The mideast wouldn't be important to the US if it were not for oil, and we would not be in the situation we are in with Iraq without it: but it is not the driving force behind the US desire for war. Power is, not economics.

To smitty: Da, you are right, comrade. This Flash-ky animation is an insult to the State and should be abolished as a threat to Homeland Security by His Exaltedness Ashcroft. Heil King George the Second!

Love the public dissent part with the darkish Soviet-type chorus singing. I'd chip in $100 toward an ad campaign that played this on TV around the world, maybe $200 (im broke even)

It's great, because from here in Europe, the things that are going on over there seem pretty messed up and a little bit off kilter, and it's starting to get scary. It's great because it's nice to see that at least a few Americans remember what it's all about and are also concerned enough to speak out. After all the "Truth, Justice..." stuff you've fed us over the years, it'd be nice to see if you can apply it to yourselves.
