This thread is being shut down and a new thread for Rural Carriers is being started at: http://www.quicktopic.com/37/H/g5XbPDcfrGvBNThe high number of posts in this thread is causing strain on the servers and has made it almost impossible to delete abusive postings.

Ctmc and Jill, it takes more than a village to raise a village idiot like that when it is trying to be a class clown. I don't think that it is even a rural. I hope it is not part of my family.

Greetings Everyone,
I am scheduled to start my training as an RCA on the 24th.
Over the last couple of weeks I've been reading several different RC/RCA message boards trying to get a heads up on what I'm going to be doing. On one of these boards I read a few posts that offered some very good advice to new RCA's but now I have no idea where I read them. If you know where I can find helpful tips other than "run" or "don't do it" or if you personally have some good advice for a new RCA would you please share it with me?
Thanks in advance!

/m33269 - rca - When transferring into another office you take your retirement and leave calculation dates with you, not your seniority. That goes for all crafts. You go to the bottom of the bunch. The same goes for quitting and coming back. You get your retirement and leave dates recalculated to reflect all your service, but your actual seniority begins anew.

When you transfer you take your seniority date with you, IF they transfered as a regular carrier......right ???? Like a mutual transfer........
