Someone left part of their tracksuit at the Suffolk champoinships Sunday week ago, please if you are missing this get in touch.

Aimee when we cleared up we found the ladies singles trophey in the main cuboard, this has been missing for a few years so let me know when you are about and I will try a get it to you.

I would also like to thank Michael Wright for his invaluable help on the day in keeping the event moving and those that got there early and helped set up.

Well done to Ryan and Aimee the two main title winners oh and lets not forget Nigel Hodder who won three titles on the day, the mixed doubles, the mens's doubles and the handicap singles.

At the risk of embarrassing those involved, the league report is being compiled by Mike Wright with assistance from the individual league secretaries. Mark, I know your thanks will be appreciated as these do take those involved time and effort to compile. I hope everyone will find these as interesting as you and I obviously have. Thank you from me too, to Mike and the league secs.

All being well the Britannia Ipswich top 12 will take place at the Britannia club on Sunday the 22nd of November.

It is open to the 12 best players based on Ipswich league averages for last season (listed below)

If you want to take part please let me know by phone or email 07968135602 dosher1970@yahoo.co.uk

Players are sometimes unable to play and this means it is offered to somoneone else, so it's always worth enquiring if you are intrested.

The top 12 places this season are offered to:

Ryan Collins, Jake Colins, Tony West, Andrew Warner, Richard Hutchinson, Gary Young, Nigel Hodder, Charles Fulcher, Wayne Shaw, Malcolm Collins, Andrew Holmes and Michael Wright.

As long as I have a currant number for these players I will be trying to get in touch, otherwise when reading this or on hearing you are entitled to play please confirm ASAP otherwise the place is likely to go.

Even if you can't play it would be good to know so I can offer it to someone else

Many thanks

                            TOP 12 UPDATE

So far I have five players down for the top 12, which means as I text or called all players who had qualified over 10 days ago, the placings are now being offerd to the the next seven players down the list.

These are the next players now entitled to play

Ashley Phillips, Ian Brown, Jimmy Farrow, Paul Broxton, Aimee Sparkes, Gary Bloomfield and Richard Goodhand

I will give players seven days to reply then it will be offered other players that played last year in the Premier that contact me.

It is just £12 to play and all players are assured of at least six games

My e mail address is dosher1970@yahoo.co.uk and phone number 07968135602

On Saturday Ryan and Jake represented the IDTTL in the Wilmot Cup held at St Neots. Our boys turned up early and were scheduled to play Northamptonshire second match on. However true to current form, Ryan forgot his bat due, as he said, to his girlfriends dog crapping in a shoe this apparantly made him forget his bat???. Anyway having returned to Stowmarket and back to St Neots still within time our boys eventually lost 3-2. The highlight of the match being ryan trailing 2 games down against Jimmy Walsh (top 50) coming back but eventually loosing 15-13 in the 5th.
Next they played Cambridgshire Jake lost to Martin Grey, Ryan beat kevin Grey in 5, Our boys won the doubles, Kevin then played Jake and conceeded when he got angry with his brother Martin for not coaching him. 'O boy does that ring a bell somewhere'...then ryan beat Martin 3-1.
So in conclusion we came a close second to Northhamptonshire but should progress through to the finals.
Thanks to the IDTTL for sponsoring our boys. Thanks to Ryan for his commitment thanks to jake for coming down from Durham just for this event (nothing to do with seeing Aimee of course!!!)

Thanks for posting this Malcolm, it is good to hear how Ryan and Jake fare in other competitions especially for us outside the normal grapevine.
The accompanying side stories definitely bring it to life.

We look forward to further installments...

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may be aware i play in Division 2 for St Margaret's D, although i have not played much this season so far. The reason for this is that my partner was diagnosed with Acute Leukaemia a short while ago & sadly she passed away suddenly a few weeks ago.
I feel i would like to raise some money for Leukaemia Research, and am thinking of doing this by organising a table tennis event, such as marathon or something for a very worthwhile cause!
Therefore, if anybody has any other ideas or thoughts on a table tennis theme, can they please let me know how to go about this or if have any other ideas or who best to help in doing anything.
Many thanks, Colin.

Message for Ken Lewis, you sent me your new mobile number but it has been deleted I'm afraid

The other thing is that I have looked for previous Britannia closed results
and apart from the one before the one at the beggening of the season there is no sign, however I'm sure like the top 12 they were all put on the Britannia web site which I think Mark may have something to do with that.

If any other Britannia members have information on winners from 2006 up to date Ken Lewis would like to hear from you so the board can be updated
