I'm sorry but the Daily Show has ALWAYS ruled, then and now. It was even good with that idiot Kilgore, and Stewart finely tuned it from there. I do miss A.Whitney Brown tho...

The Daily Show interview with this guy was really funny. Their suspicion over the staging of the punchout was great. Let's hope that one day Jon Stewart will not say something that will outrage the small portion of the right wing that watches things just so they can practice moral high-horsemanship, and force CC to drop the program, like they did with Bill Maher. Like Xeni said, this is the last true source of political satire.

OMG, does the Daily Show rule lately, or what? Did you see the election night coverage last night--after reporting the GOP's imminent royal flush of house, senate, presidency, Jon Stewart prostrates himself before the camera, pledging obeisance in monotone drone to "our new delicious rulers..." this show is like, the last bastion of true political satire in America.

I didn't see the Daily Show interview, but I understand that they taunted the guy by suggesting that the footage of him getting punched was staged.

The Daily Show had an interview with the guy that Buzz knocked down. Pretty good stuff. The clip of him getting punched was somehow very satisfying.

This is really a mistake. What's next? Is NASA going to fund a book refuting flat earth theory? The "we didn't land on the moon" nonsense is so nutty that it doesn't deserve this sort of debunking.

I'll sure miss watching another Buzz punch-out.
Fox owes Aldrin a cameo on The Simpson's so they can come correct about this.

The deep-fried True Disbelievers will never admit they're wrong, ernie. They'll just become more marginalized and more pathetic-seeming, spinning an ever-more-elaborate web of rationalizations. Which is satisfying in its own right.
The Oberg book will be a boon for educators who need material to counter the web sites and TV shows.

I just live with the satisfaction of knowing that in 20 - 30 years when moon traffic is more common and private citizens can see for themselves the original moon landing sites these debunkers will still be alive to eat crow and foot.

It is unfortunate that the gullibility of the average American has risen to the point that NASA actually thinks this move is necessary. To me, the single most telling point against the moon-landing is now that NASA is issuing an official denial ... but, you know, I want to believe.
