Britt, as a former employee of two separate Jack-in-the-Box locations, i can tell you...

First, you are right. Jack is bad-ass. Jack is hardcore. i've seen the bloody training videos... why does he have such a long, pointy nose? Why, because it is a phallic symbol... AND because he uses it to viciously gouge out the eyes of employees who foment dissent!

Second... Jack isn't a clown at all.

He's a mutant snowman who was birthed in the sub-zero fallout of the Big One at Nagasaki (also in the videos...)

It was from the Japanese that he learned his efficient and ruthless managerial techniques.

FACT: All Jack-in-the-Box managers use variants of the phrase, "That IS Jack's way!" or "That's NOT Jack's way!"

I'll never forget the fateful day when i was flinging burgers at Jack-in-the-Box when Casey Manaugh walked in and ordered a Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger Combo...

I, clad in a black baseball cap and ill-fitting Jack T-shirt asked...

"...dude, is Outback hiring?"
