I need everyone in the Littlestown area to keep their eyes open for
my bird! I live on South Columbus Ave, near South Queen Street. He is
a cockatiel, gray with orange circles on his cheeks and a yellow
mohawk. His name is Tweet. If you happen to hear a bird whistling the "Andy
Griffin" tune, that is him!!! he has only been gone for a couple
hours,so hopefully he hasn't had time to hook up with the bad birds!
He is my baby!!! He follows me through the house all the time!!! Please help!!!! If you see or hear him, please call me, I don't

If the problem started after changing an ink cartridge(s)
you may have the wrong cartridge or a defective one. Or
the protective tape was not removed from the cartridge
when it was installed in the printer.

Try removing and reseating the cartridge in it’s holder.
Check that there is no tape covering the bottom or the
side of the cartridge (s).

Your print head could be dirty or clogged, try using the
utilities program that was installed when you bought the
printer. Look for an option To do a cartridge or print head
or nozzle head clean / clear option and then do a self
test.

Sounds To Me That Your Hard Disk Is Just Starting To Fail, I Highly Recommend
Backing Up Your Important Files. Have You Done A Virsus Scan Lately?
Does Your Hard Drive Sound Any Different Lately.
What Makes Me Think Your Hard Drive Is Failing Is The Bad Sectors Number Is Growing.
Try A Scan Disk In Dos Instead Of Windows That Should Mark The Bad Sectors, Not
To Be Used. And Might Lessen The Blue Screens.

Good morning.
I have a computer that will not complete a through scan disk or defrag, it hangs several times a day
with blue screens of death. with "e" "d" "v" errors at random.
I can do a simple disk scan and it reports bad sectors the bad sectors numbers grows as time
goes by. any ideas?

Laptops have internal power supplies which charge the battery and run when the system is plugged in to a AC outlet. I also have seen in response to my previous posting, this happen when a laptop battery starts to go bad. Does it happen on battery or off battery? You may want to try removing the battery and run entirely off of AC Power to try to troubleshoot. Could also be a hard drive problem

Since it’s a laptop there is no fan in the back of the computer, might be a small one underneath though. I don’t think laptops have internal power supplies either. What operating system is it running? I would assume the laptop is running Windows 95 or 98 if scandisk starts after an improper shutdown. Win ME might do that too, haven’t really played with that though. I would first look at software causing the problem since that is the cheapest thing to do. Run the virus scan make sure you have the latest virus definitions first. Then I would run a scan disk in windows make sure the file system is happy. Then I would defrag it. If it still locks up I would check and see what programs are running in the background, maybe one is causing the issue. Oh and make sure you have the latest updates for your operating system, drivers, etc.

I Suggest, A Virus Scan, Check To Make Sure Your Cooling
Fan In The Back Of Computer Is Still Running, Change To
Another Socket In the House.

One Of My Networked, Desktop Computers (Still Inservice)
Had This Problem Years Ago That Would Do This From Time To Time.
Never Did Find Out Why? And The Strange Thing Is It Has Not
(Knock On Wood) Done It For Years.

It shuts off , reboots then go's through a inproper shut down scan disk? my computer is a compaq laptop running @ 700 mhz. the mouse also stalls, and the computer also locks up from time to time. any ideas?

Another issue you might want to look into is your settings with regards to the TC/IP protocol. Make sure you have the same subnet mask, and ip range for both of the computers set as a static ip. Example of this would be
Comp#1 ip: 10.0.0.1
       subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Comp#2 ip: 10.0.0.2
       subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Also make sure you have all the following installed as services and protocols for each network card/adapter:

TCP/IP, NetBEUI, Client for Microsoft Networks, and Printer and File Sharing.

Vetto, If You Have Them Connected Card To Card With A Cable And Not Through A Hub Then
Check To See If The Cable Is A Crossover Cable. This Is A Special Cable Used When Not Using
A Hub Or Switch In A Network. It Should Have Crossover Cable Printed In The Wire Jacket.
