Just imagine how freaked out you'd be if there was a better than average chance that David Hasselhoff was the last thing you'd hear.

President Bush may well be the mediocre cowboy we “intellectually superior” Europeans believe he is, all too happy to engage everybody in a new world war but, in that case, that accusation should be extended to most American citizens who gave their support to the Republicans last Tuesday.

What the election has shown, in my opinion, is that Americans have no trouble identifying who their enemies are, and are willing and prepared to go after them to prevent anything like the WTC attacks from happening ever again. For us decadent Europeans all it takes to make these naughty Islamic fundamentalists come to their senses is dialog and negotiations. Until their next strike is in Europe, that is. Then the first thing we’ll do is turn to the US for help.

The scariest part of it all is how our political system is protrayed (and even acted upon) as a game. The GOP has take control of the such and such and is now "on offense." People vote strictly according to party associates despite not knowing a damn thing about the opinions and personality of the person they are voting for. Its 15 minutes til change.... err... beer thirty?
