"of what they're going to do to these people later when they start to question them..."
Ah . . . Room 101, where the interrogators are all dressed in Disney character costumes, except for the one faceless clown they keep chained in the corner who lunges at the prisoner as he's brought in.

It doesn't seem that unusual to me - we are talking about people who have trained for years to be suicidal cold blooded killers. While true you can't have an instant trial and determine if all these blokes are guilty, seems to me the security measures are for the safety of all. Bet if someone got pictures of what they're going to do to these people later when they start to question them, people would really get an eye opener.

Dan Rather showed the pics last night on the 6:30 news. Said the Pentagon is none too happy.
Just showed my wife the photos. Her comment: "What's so bad about those? Gee, they gave them ear protectors. That was nice."
And yeah, the do have more leg room than I typically get on a flight. I wish I could lay down on the floor sometimes.

the pic's are sick. treating people who have't been proven to have done anything wrong is sick an we should all be ashamed of what we are doing. Even if they have done something should we be there bigger man.

I don't think it is shocking that we would be transporting POWs in the body of C-130s. However, these photos are weird because the bodies are so contorted. It looks like bottoms turned around backwards, the feet and the hips turned in different directions. It is sort of nauseating and not all that easy to sort out.

Could somebody explain what's inhumane about it? Humiliating, sure. Uncomfortable, no doubt. But inhumane?

Also, if you were going to edit a picture for propaganda purposes, why not go all the way? You know:
Evil Jews collecting blood for their diabolical holiday cookies.
George Bush force-feeding pork chops to the prisoners.
A Starbucks in the background, serving lattes made non-shade-beans.

foob, just because the images were passed thru Photoshop, doesn't mean they were photoshopped. That is, Photoshop has lots of legitimate uses to do things like cropping or adjusting the contrast of news photos that don't involve any deception.
