Personally I had second thoughts about doing this topic. But I wanted to do something special in Honor of Jakki. Yes it will be one year this 9/11/02 that we lost our dear friend and love one Jakki and to others Lyric.

So I decided to dedicate this QT in her memory and asking all to come and post their thoughts here for her and about her. Please no drama and keep it respectable.

This is for you Jakki, I love and miss you dearly! Love Creamy!

I truly miss Jakki aka "LYRIC." She was so warm and friendly. Never a harsh word on any of her postings. She shared her love for the music which filtered down and made everyone feel happy. She knew all of the lyrics. She would sing for us all the time. We would ask her to sing a specific song, and she would. There wasn't a song she didn't know. She brighten up the boards. Especially on Paul's board. I think Paul was her favorite Temptation. I miss her dearly. "Thank you LYRIC for all the wonderful times we had together." Peace be upon you.

Thank you Creamy for this Quick Topic in Memory of Jakki. My life has not been the same since September 11, 2001 for losing Jakki on that date makes it hard for me to even look at the New York City skyline. I was so glad I had a chance to meet her at the Tropicana, Atlantic City, to see that she was as fun loving and as sweet as she posted. She is a beautiful soul. She is forever in my heart.

This message is for our beloved Jakki. I did not meet her but I remenber a lot of her posts. She knew all the words to the Songs and would sing them on board. You are truly missed.

I don't know what to say. I'm so Happy that I met Jakki on the Tempts' imusic board and got to know her through e-mails, and eventually talking on the phone and meeting her in person in Atlantic City. She was a very Sweet and Loving person and sure could make you laugh. Paul was her favorite Tempt of the Classic Five, and I remember getting Excited when she would do the lyrics from songs he lead on Paul's imusic board.

Thank you CREAMY for creating this QT so that we can come and express our feelings about 9/11 and especially, about LYRIC(Jakki).

I never met LYRIC, but I felt like I knew her well from all of her postings on the IMusic boards. We went talked occasionally on the Temptations' Miniseries Board. She had quick wit and an honest love for the Temptations. She knew every song. If you didn't know the words to a certain song, all you had to do was ask LYRIC. Sometimes you didn't have to ask. She just came in with the missing lines to fill the spots that you left blank. When we lost her, I felt like I had lost a sister. Well, I had lost a sister. It has almost been a year, and it is still hard to believe that she is no longer with us in the physical body. I know that she is here in spirit though. REST IN PEACE LYRIC. We will never forget you.

I didn't get the chance to meet this lovely lady. I only spoke with her on the phone a few times, but miss her like I'd known her for years.

Wow..it has been almost a year...and with GOD looking down upon us and keeping "JAKKI" right beside HIM..she will always be in our hearts...our minds...

Although I never met you face-to-face..I still remember your quick way with coming up with the right songs and LYRICS at the right time..

I clearly remember Patrice trying to reach all the posters to see if they had heard from you...then the news. Just celebrating your 37th year as I did, but God loved you best. I pray your family & loved ones can find solace in knowing you are resting in the ARMS OF THE COMFORTER. When we all make it there(I'll recognize you) we can all sing "I Want A Love I Can See" together!

I did not have the opportunity to meet LYRIC ((JAKKI)) face to face, but I was touched by her thoughtfulness and humor through her posts. My prayers for her family and friends, as well the families and friends of all others, continue. May God Bless and comfort them.

Think about you often and knowing now you are at peace. Someday we will meet, talk and laugh like we did so often on the phone. Miss you dearly. It might have been five years ago, but it seems like it was just yesterday.

Its 6 years since that day, and we all still feel the pain and shock of that day, every year... everyone will be thinking of that day. Rest in Peace Jakki. You were on the 98th floor.. the plane hit the 92nd thru the 98th floor. I believe the Lord took you fast so that you didnt suffer... My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to your friends and family, and to all who perished on that day, and to the people they loved.

Simply looking for lyrics to one of the Temptations' many famous songs, and to my suprise I was introduced to you, Lyric!! You are a beautiful woman and I can see from the website you were beautiful on the inside as much as you are outwardly! I never met you, but my heart reaches out in memory of you and everyone that was touched by you! Now, everytime I hear or sing a song by the Temptations, I will think of YOU! Thank you Lyric!
