Four inches of smooth ice on Rock Lake today! Great skating, hopefully tomorrow, too, as it warms up a bit.

(The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources states that four inches is sufficient bear the weight of people, and eight inches if you're bringing your ice-fishing hut, and twelve-plus inches if you want to drive your vehicle across...maybe a short-cut for the Forest Service)
