If you're planning on taking a stroll around Bar-K next weekend anytime (Fri/Sat/Sun), consider taking a bundle of newsletters with you to deliver to your neighbors. Mark your calendar... two weeks from today, Saturday Dec 5: JAM meeting and jam at the Mothership, Tom and Laura Williams' house, 100 Mesa St. 4 PM Bring a dish to pass, an instrument if you play, and your ideas for the coming year. Everyone welcome. Upcoming events to watch for are the Arts and Craft Fair Saturday Dec, 12 at Jamestown Elementary School and that evening Saturday Dec 12... Kareoke Night at the Merc. Garbo--I'm SO grateful too that it happened the way it did and that a disaster was avoided! I felt privileged to watch the Lefthand fire men & Woman! and the Deputy work with such professionalism, thoroughness, and compassion for you.
I'm sure this will be an extra special Thanksgiving for you guys & all your visitors. Have a blast with your family!

YOGA CANCELLED this Sunday. I'm fighting off an illness- I know yoga and violence do not go hand in hand, but I am trying to kick this one in the you know what. Hopefully class will resume on Tuesday at 6p--I will let you all know. Thanks!
Drink tons of water and eat healthy--prevent illness.

Yep.
He's been cleaning my chimney yearly for 16 years. His daughter (before she grew up and went away) used to babysit for us (the older girls, Dani & Roxi)

Along with the Birthday Calendar, Camp Jim would like to make a recipe book! I’ve only gotten a few recipes, and will have to resort to kids choosing from cookbooks if no one else pipes up. That would be OK, but we’d rather have some good soul food in our Camp Jim recipe Collaboration. So send in your recipes, by email to sara.milligan@colorado.edu.

My love and gratitude to the neighbors who ultimately saved our home!!! A short time after I lit the wood stove today, Anne Kosel spotted smoke billowing out of our chimney. Rather than simply dismiss it, she went to Claudia's to report what she'd seen before heading to town. We were so lucky!!! Had these two neighbors not checked it out, my home could be gone right now -
Thank you to the Lefthand Fire personnel and the Deputy who responded (you know who you are) and stayed until the situation was under control. These folks are trained well and responded almost immediately, taking necessary precautions until the fire trucks arrived.
We all have some kind of story to tell - I want to urge folks right now - Please don't put off having a chimney sweep done every year. yes folks, it CAN HAPPEN to you!!! We just happened to be lucky today... Thanks again to everyone. This is really a great community and we're lucky to be a part...

636 ranch road has a chimney fire. Seems under control. 3 fire trucks, 1 sheriff, lots of residents.
