Just an "FYI": This isn't new news. I remember sensationalistic OMNI articles circa 1977 that described an almost identical program.

Either the program was stalled politically, or stalled technically.

If the DOD actually gets around to deploying these, they'd better stick to using them on people storming embassies overseas. The first use here will pretty much seal the fate of the administration in power.

Actually i heard the fedz were also looking into weaponizing MDMA (ecstasy) for disabling enemy soldiers on the battlefield.

Stefan, I think the DOD is continually investigating things like this. Researchers write up optimistic proposals, get grants, write glowing reports, and eventually someone figures out that there's really no good way to control dosage, and it everybody moves on to the next thing. Then, after everyone's forgotten the last time (or moved on to new positions) somebody gets a bright idea, writes up a grant proposal...

This sort of thing goes back at least to the LSD investigations in the 50s that introduced univeristy researchers like Leary to psychedelia.

The sky car is real, we're just not going to be seeing them flying around anytime too soon. Moller's had functioning models for a long time now.
