He and his fellow intercollegiate debaters have a jaundiced view of the politics of Baby Boomers. From his point of view, we gave extremism (on Left and Right and elsewhere) a bad name. His generation, he asserts, is not apathetic. Rather, they are quietly seeking a new post-Cold War paradigm for political transformation.
