House experiments with LSD for Migraine headaches in FOX TV show tonight.
Then takes antidepressants to come down early after the headache gone?!
Look for repeats: "Distractions" episode #212...
http://www.fox.com/house/

Rich Doyle's extreme self-experiments theory in action :
This is review of LSDNA article by Anne Beaulieu:
The account of self-experimentation in the early period of LSD use both raises and illustrates the fundamental epistemic issues in self-experimentation:

This is a question of endurance for the experimental self: usual experimental protocol demands that everything is involved in an experiment except the self, and yet here it is precisely only the self and its responses that are the very assay of LSD24. (13)

This makes the essay a must-read for anyone interested in this subset of scientific experiments, and hopefully this material will come to the attention of scholars in science studies.

Okay, yes it is, and it's online at http://www.geocities.com/quantum_jane/immersive_gaming.html
Just in case any of you crazy theory-nauts are interested in "Collective Subjectivity and Immersive Entertainment."

Check out this link! It gets even better. http://salon.com/news/col/huff/2002/10/29/suv_ad/index.html
We've had an overwhelming response to the suggestion in my column that we mount a citizens' ad campaign aimed at getting people to stop driving SUVs and other gas-guzzling vehicles -- and jolting our leaders into taking action.

It's been a busy and productive week. Lawrence Bender, producer of "Pulp Fiction" and "Good Will Hunting," and director Scott Burns, co-creator of the "Got Milk?" ad campaign, have agreed to donate their services to make these ads a reality through A Band Apart, Bender's production company. To get these ads on the air we are establishing a nonprofit fund for the sole purpose of creating them.

Many of you have asked where you can contribute. The Natural Resources Defense Council was kind enough to take donations for an interim period, but now that we've got our independent fund up and running, please send your donations to:

SUV Ad Fund/A Band Apart
7966 Beverly Blvd. 2nd Floor
Los Angeles, CA 90048
THERE'S ALSO A LINK TO CONTRIBUTE ONLINE AT THE ARTICLE, USE THE LINK ABOVE!!

Here are two links on the proposed "I helped blow up a Bali nightclub-- by driving my SUV to work everyday" ad campaign. The first includes the scripts for the proposed commercials; read that, and then click on the second link, which gives info on contributing to the fund. Even if you only send $5, I think it is important to have a high number of people donating to demonstrate a sizeable support base. So send this on to your friends!

If anyone is interested in a quick but fascinating survey of the Gonzo Science attempts to recreate and/or disprove God & Alien experiences, the following article -- "Crashing the Subjectivity Barrier"-- is a fun and interesting read. http://www.anomalist.com/gonzoscience/shermer2.html
