I think these group projects are going to turn out really well! My group contemplated doing a few topics. For example, we thought about doing architectural diffusion and how it's apparent in things like houses and dog breeds and bites and where they came from. But, the one we finally agreed on was rap. We are going to compare different artists and see how geography changes the sound of artists music and how it may even cause rivalries. Well, I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend:) P.S.-Boombox.........so precious ;)

Have you ever wondered where rap music evolved from?
Why different cities have rappers with different sounds?
Or how geography has changed the music to the way it is today?
What my group will be looking at is how the world cultures can change music. For example, in the 1870s-1890s, millions of Irish came to the United States to seek the American Dream. They brought their culture and music to cities like New York, Boston and Chicago. Do you remember, back in the day, the shitty rap group, House of Pain? You know; the song Jump Around. Believe it or not that song has a cultural meaning to it. You hear bagpipes and some other stuff, that music is Irish…I think. So yall kinda got tha idea, if ya dont, it sucks to be you. You will learn one day.
Have a great weekend Adam and dont do anything I wouldnt do.
Jessica Rex, remember to paint those nails.

Hey guys! Ok, well Ashley, Denise, and I are in a group together (of course), and we kind of just fell into our topic. We decided, or really Ashley thought of the idea, of tracking the spread of AIDS (or other major STDs)around the world. We want to see how they diffuse from one country to another, and where certain types are most common. I think it'll be really good, especially our "skit." And, I promise that we'll make it as fun as possible. Have a good weekend everyone! ~ Hey A & D, wish me luck w/ Frat-boy this weekend! Love ya!

Allright well these group projects should be fun to do. My group had a few ideas but we decided to talk about rap. I know you're thinking how does rap relate to geography. Well we're going to talk about how rap differs from city to city. We'll also talk about the history of rap and how it has changed over the years. We will also talk about how rappers get in lyrical wars because they're from a different city or coast. Well i hope you all have fun this weekend. Drink one for me.

Well, my group has decided to do our project on sea otters. They are so cute!We are not sure yet how we are going focus on them in geography but we think that we are going to look at where they are endargered and the places that they are grouped. Well, I hope that everyone has a nice and safe weekend!

My group is Amanda Derck and Brett. We are going to do something pertaining to sea otters. We still have a lot of thinking involving our topic because we are not sure in what way we want to tie it into geography. One way we thought of was to research the endangerment of them and why are they are becoming less and less common. We had several ideas, so we may do more than one. If anyone has any ideas, let us know!
Well, I think our projects are all going to be interesting and I hope that its going to be a fun experience to learn about everyone else's topics too. I am excited to see what everyone comes up!! Have a fun and safe weekend!!

Jim, Adam and I are doing the consumption of alcohol around the world. For example, what kind of alcohol different regions drink, and how much they drink. We even found out that there are World Beer Games, which are like the beer drinking olympics. 16 countries have teams of men that compete in several different drinking games. We also found lists of the top 20 drinks. This assignment is a very good idea, it has given us the freedom to look up and learn about things that interest us.

hey guys! I'm so excited for this crazy group project! We're doing our project on the spread of AIDS. If we don't find a lot on that we'll broaden it to STDs in general. We plan on getting very creative with this. We're probably going to do a skit, and have some awesome visual aids. (no pun intended) You guys better be looking forward to our presentation, because it's gonna be WILD! Have a great weekend guys!

So, like Jessica said, we're cooler than everybody else. We're doing ours on how alcohol consumption varies between geographic regions in the world. We will discuss the different types and amounts of alcohol that different people drink and how it affects their culture. Then, we're all gonna sample different drinks and play different beer games from around the world, right Christina?
Nobody get arrested this weekend, that would suck!

it looks like we are gonna do our presentation on that new planet or whatever you want to call it. the big thing outside of pluto. we'll talk about the different types of changes this means and that there could be a possibility of other bodies like this still unseen in our solar system. we'll probably put on a little skit or something so that people don't fall asleep when we're talking. it'll be nice

well ive tried like all day trying to get on here but it wouldnt work till now. But oh well. Im going to be doing my presention on weather in different regions. But Me and Adam are going to put an interesting and funny twist onit by doing a video that shows how much fun learning is when you goof off. Dont think anything less of us after this video we are just goiing to be as stupid as possible so you stay awake during our presentation. Cuz its really hard to beat a presentation that has drinking games. We will let them go first so you can be drunk while watching ours and wont remember how dumb we are going to be. see ya later everyone.

John and I are doing the geography of weather or how weather affects the world and different regions of the Earth. We will explain how the weather can determine the populations of the cities or even how weather can shape the Earth in many fasinating ways. Our presentation will prove our point but will be goofy and fun. I'm looking foward to doing this and seeing everybody else's presentation...Have a great weekend

Because there were problems with the message board today, I will count all posts posted before Saturday night at midnight. Tell you friends. P.s. No, Jim, we will not be doing any kind of drinking, sampling or otherwise.
