Well hey I'm late I have no idea why my internet wouldn't work yesterday and is now. I thought the address was wrong and I asked Drew and Tony what it was but it still didnt work. I know I'm late but I'll write one anyways cause it is an assignment. This class is not like I expected really either. I expected a class of boring reading every night and tests and quizes galore. Which would have been basically a boring class that I would have hated to attend. This is totally different. Interesting articles, great discussions, fun assignments (even though I missed the first one on time), and it's just a class that keeps your attention.i say fisanick for president.

My first week in English was nothing like I had expected it to be. English is not one of my strong classes and I figured it was going to be one of my worst classes. Well after the first week I think this class might actually be one of my best classes. It seems to be very exciting and it definitly keeps my entertained. Also, I like how it's connecting to our geography class, I like learning about others cultures and lives and comparing their to ours.

I really like our class! Once you get to college it's extremely easy to be just another face in the crowd. Our class' size makes it virtually imposible to feel that way. It's so entertaining to take in all of the diverse views of my classmates! The most interesting article so far, for me, was "The American Geographies" I find it essential to have an intimate connection with our surroundings in order to keep geography alive.

Hey everyone, I came into class thinking it was going to be boring and drawn out like my econ class, but i was wrong its the coolest class i have this quarter. I like the way the class is set up and the way its taught so far. I liked two of the four articles weve read already. One being the nuclear article and the other one about the plate tectonics. Iliked the nuclear article because we had a little more disscusion about it then we did all the others and i enjoy arguing. I was interested in the tectonics one because ive studied the earth and its movements along with changes. The atrticle pretty much followed everything id learned about geography changed by plate tectonics. I once wanted to be a scientist but it was to much involement for me.Hopefully this is what you wanted . Im going to go now ill see everyone this monday.

Hey yall, I hope everyone here is enjoying college life, I know I am. English class this year is pretty cool. I'm not use to learning english along with another class that both relate and reflect on one another. I am really enjoying the discussions in class and the articles we have read (well maybe just a few). Anyway, the one article i was particulary interested in was the one dealing with tectonic plates and the rise/fall of continents. I liked this one because I felt it was more factual than the others. I dont especially like the opinionated articles b/c i feel the author is trying to cozx me into believing whatever his/her views may be on the topic. Well that is about all i have to say. Everyone have a good weekend and ill see ya in class on Monday.

WOW! English class in college is so much better than it is in high school. Back home english class was 90 minutes long and very boring, but now it is a pleasure going to class. With interesting topics, such as the ones we have already discussed in class, makes the time we are there seem like 15 minutes. Holding class outside would be unheard of in my high school. But now we can go outside and concentrate on our studies. We do not have to worry about being all cramped up in a little desk anymore. I have found all of my other classes to be like this too. The topics of discussion are all interesting and the homework is not a bore to do. I never thought I would be saying this, but I actually enjoy going to school. I think these first few days of college have made me pull a complete 180 on my outlook towards school in general. I am very excited and look forward to continue going to class and continuing my education here. I hope all of you feel the same way.

Hi everyone, I hope you all recovered from thursday night, anyway since eveyone is talking about the nuclear power, I am going to talk about another special place that i thought of today. When i first saw it, I was ready to leave, but I stuck it out and bonded with the guys. This place is a small spider infested backroom that I guess someone just added it on to the garage. The people tht built it did not bother to make it look good, because they just left the sidding where it was. So on the front wall that there is sidding and the rest is all slidding windows. there is no privacy, and it was one of the coldest places, I would wear my letter jacket inside and just keep it on and maybe a blanket too. I will always link the "backroom" and my high school days. It was during the football season so during away games by the time everyone gets off the bus and takes a shower its time to hed in. So me and acouple of my football buddies would just sit there for hours into the night. The best thing was that from almost very seat in the room you could see the high school stadium, the lights and the stands. We would sit there for hours smoking cigars and remembering games and tearing out coaches apart, b/c its never the players fault for the loss.

This week I found out that English is not anything like what I figured it would be. In high school English was hell and now I love the English class that I am in. This class is actually fun and worth getting up for in the morning out of all my classes. But anyways, I'm taking the hint that the subject for this post is leaning towards nuclear power. As of right now I feel no need for nuclear power. With the way the world is, with all the terriorist and violence in the world right now. I don't know if I would feel very comfortable living next to a nuclear power plant, especially since the damage it can cause if something happens to go wrong. After the Cold War and all of the talks of nuclear weapons and how the world isn't really in peace right now I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of building nuclear power plants.

I have read what all you wacky college kids have had to say. I gotta say I am convinced that nuclear power is obviously a successful invention and keeps prices down on energy cost. With out these places we could not lead the lives we have today (technologically speaking). The reason people get all whiny about nuclear topics is because it has such a negative stigma. It is associated with such terrible things death, war and destruction. Hopefully, since we are such a technology progressive nation we will be able to prevent anything that would be disastrous to towns where nuclear power plants reside.

Hello everyone! Since everyone is talking about Nuclear power I guess I will too. I don't think that anyone would really want to live next to a power plant because there is that fear that something could happen such as a melt down. There will still be the stigma left behind from the problems at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. Another question is that would nuclear power still be cheaper than coal and natural gas, years from now. If the nuclear power cost went up to high to handle I don't think that everyone would want to have nuclear power as a power source or a power plant by their home. Have a nice weekend!

Personally, I do not agree with Nuclear Power. I would not want to live anywhere near a Nuclear Power plant and I wouldn't think that anyone else would either. I wouldn't want to live somewhere and think, "What if something happened?" The chance of your family and all of the important things in your life could someday be destroyed. I understand that it is a cheaper route to go, but personally, I think that it is worth the couple of extra dollars to use the methods that we are using today because they seem to working effectively. Coal is a much safer route than using radiation. Using radiation is a threat to the health of everyone in that particular area. Why people would want to choose and vote on something harmful is beyond me. We may be running low on coal and other natural resources but I think that they could find a different and more effective route than using Nuclear Power plants.

Everyone's argument about Nuclear Power is that it is good, but there must be something wrong with it because no one would want one in their town. Well I had one in my town. Not litterally outside of my window, but only about twenty miles away. Some would say that that means it's not in my town but if something were to happen, it would really only take a couple of munites for my town to be destroyed. So what I'm really trying to say is that I would not and have not minded growing up so close to a Power Plant. I would not object to my children growing up in a town like that either. I would actually encourage it. The school, Perry, that is right next to Perry Nuclear Power Plant has done a complete 180. It used to be one of the worst schools in Ohio and is now the number one public school in our state. Walking through their halls and seeing their cafeteria everyone becomes immediately jelouse. Even their locker rooms are like those at an elite club. Their stadium is all astroturf, and field are nicer than most colleges. The point I am really trying to make is that Nuclear Power is the way to go. It is not only cheap and efficeint, it greatly benefits the community it is in. Also, with all the new advancements everyday things can only get safer.

So uh how was English class today? Oh wait, we didn't have it! Enough jibba-jabba, back to nuclear power. I'm still all for it a little later in the future. It is safe and the chances of a disaster are slim to none. Nuclear power is cheaper and way more efficient than coal or any other form of power that we use. Personally, I probably wouldn't mind having a nuclear power plant in my hometown. Until that day, I guess I won't know.

Well i guess the hot topic today is about nuclear power. I think it's a great idea. It's cheaper and it creates pleanty of energy. I really wouldn't care if they decided to put one in my city because theres allready one thats about a half an hour away from me. And today they have some much technology and precaution measures that its almost impossible for a meltdown. And like Adam said "you need to start somewhere." We are running low or natural resources and theres no better time to start finding new ways for energy

Well Howdy Yall. Hope you guys are enjoying your Friday. Apparently everyone is taking the Nuclear Power approach, so I guess I'll voice my opinion. I'm all for it, and I think it's a good idea. And the only reason I say this is because no matter what the invention, there will always be advancements.
Think about the chair you're sitting in. It's flawless in that it serves its purpose flawlessly. You're sitting arent you? But, I assure you the inventor of the chair had a black and blue ass for months if not years before he/she got it right. You need to start somewhere.
I understand that this is nuclear power were talking about, and if something were to go wrong things could get pretty ugly. But at the same time, nothing is going to get better if nothing is done. Moreover, the US has plenty of $$$ and knowledge to make and keep things safe. Someone brought up the point that meltdowns occured in places where there was not a lot of money, or not enough man power to handle the plant, so I would like to think that we (the US) could "handle" a plant and maintain it so that millions of people are not exposed due to human error.
It's a tough call. I'm so quick to say YES, nuclear power is good. But then I think to myself, if a nuclear power plant went up next to me, I'd move!!! But, again I think that things can always be improved upon. And eventually things will be, in essence, perfect..... flawless. But we only get to that point by starting.
Enjoy your weekend!!!

Hi to everybody! Hope you're having a relaxing Friday! Just wanted to pose my view on Nuclear Power. Personally, I don't think too many people would feel comfortable living close to a nuclear power plant, at least I know I wouldn't. God forbid something would go wrong. Millions of people would be hurt. Also, if something were to go wrong, the pollution to the Earth may be very harmful. (i.e. the ozone layer) Therefore, I don't really agree with the use of Nuclear Power. We need to invent some other form of energy. That's all I have! See you on Monday! :)
