Sometimes, when life sucks, I'm drawn like a moth back to http://www.ellenfeiss.net/images/wallpaper/ellen2.832.jpg ... and then everything's okay, even if it's just for a moment. Seriously, dunno how far along you are in the process of contacting credit card companies, etc., but I'm happy to help any way I can. |

Muss--I'm good, thanks. Everyone has been very generous and I should be able to replace my cell phone very soon (thanks to a dear friend). Mom is letting me borrow a bit of money and Adam emailed me the text of the book that was stolen. Oh and girlie, just FYI: I wouldn't be handing out your email address so freely in this forum--they are nice and smart and funny, but these folks are some nasty perverts. ;)

The icing on the motherfucking cake:
My television/VCR combo ate a rental tape of Twin Peaks Ep. 6-10 abour a week ago. After finally finding a technician who would even look at it, I was informed that the VCR is toast, but the TV still works and I can hook up my DVD player no problem.
The kindly couple didn't charge me a single cent to rescue Hollywood Video's VHS, which I promptly put...in my purse.
(I blame Artisan for failing to forsee the success of Twin Peaks on DVD, therefore releasing only the first season right away, forcing me to rent the worn, old tape that continues Season 2 and is likely to blame for the VCR snafu to begin with.)
