Hey, stop scaring me. I'm currently reading Preacher TPB vol. #2 and now that I think of it. JK was VERY insistent that I read this one first.....Good Lord!!

Hey, where is that guy anyway????? I thought he was "comic_fan".???

I do like to get first crack at things, but there's always the risk of that public nudity thing when it comes to Dan. That's pretty scary. Not quite as scary as what could possibly be going on in JK's yard, but you can be the judge of that.

Yes, but you'll get first crack at all the new titles....that's a pretty hefty perk!! Although, you are not alone in the layoff picture. My cheezy company might lose the contract with Sun so we'll both be picking up trash.

Of course, you're a founding member so you'll get HiJinx preference and I'll have to go elsewhere. Hey, ya' think JK needs some yardwork done??

Hey! My stock is in the gutter, the layoff monster is hiding under my bed every night, and our fearless president thinks it's time for a regime change! I'm under some stress man! And my next best job prospect is picking up trash from the plants outside of Hijinx Comics.

Sorry, sorry.....that would be me. I promise to solicit all techie advice "offline" from now on. Sheesh......you friggin' SUN employees man.

All right, who got Dan talking about technical junk? Now that the industry is dead he's moved on to the more substantial and consistent comic market.

Programming is fun and all, I just didn't want to make a career out out of it. Now I use my computer savvy on time-wasting crap like this website!

BTW- my stock was at $60 a share on opening day, opening price was $12. We steadily dropped down to a low of like 25 cents before being delisted. Here's a list of companies I've worked for in the past few 5 years. Some still exist, some don't.

Catalyst Integrated Litigation Systems
organic.
loudcloud.
moonlight.

I learned a lot there. And got really good at 9-ball...

Hi Dan! Its sounds like you guys are having too much fun. I was going to ask you if you checked out the Daredevil Site? You resemble Bullseye, and that's a compliment because Colin is hot!

Mr. Wade_Wilson sounds very needy. Dan: You should charge this weirdo for those solaris lessons. Someone get this Wade nut off the board.

Yup, there are a lot of Steves and also Ahmed seems to be very popular. NE-wayz, you were a Solaris Programmer?!?!? What the hell are you doing working in a comic shop??? You could be making minimum wage working at company who's stock is at a 3. Sorry, just a little bitter there but I will definately take you up on your offer.

Actually, he is a guy who works at SUN, but there must be a lot of Steves over there, right?
.
I used to be a Solaris/Linux Admin and programmer, so feel free to shoot me a line if need-be.

Or is "Solaris" codespeak for where the hottest secretaries hang out?

Are you the "steve" that works at Sun Micro?? I ask because I'm currently doing a lifetime sentence in the SUN02 bldg. And I need all sorts of "Solaris" advice. If this isn't you, please disregard.

I'm still working on the history link, but I can guarantee you that JK is involved in all sorts of heinous activities and the comic shop was just a cover. Besides being an overall shady character, I happen to know for a fact that he has been late in returning several videos to the rental shop.

Dan's my Heee-ro too!!! I think we should all sing that elton john tune to Dan on the day of the sale as a show of gratitude for all the Mearth and Joy he and JK bring us when we shop at Hi Jinx.

You know, the one that goes, "....god it looks like daaaannniieeelll.....must be the clouds in my eyes".

Boy, that poor mario guy it seems like he's just being abused. NE-wayz, I noticed that your "History" link doesn't have any information yet. I'm just curious about the story behind Hi Jinx as a longtime shopper.

I mean, I'm not one for idle gossip BUT.....I heard that the reason JK sold the store to dan was because of jk's involvement with a south american drug cartel.

Is this true?!?!

Thanks for the invite Dan. Will refreshments be served? What kind of prizes will you be giving away? If I were you I wouldn't give that Mario guy any discounts, in fact you should charge him for the bags and boards. Heeeee. Frapucchino's sound good. heeee.

I've decided to make my first foray into online auctions. It's getting rather addictive! There's something way cool about the economic meritocracy in effect. I use ebay all the time now as a great estimator of "street price". I don't care what the price guides say, some things won't sell at any price. As an experiment, I'm selling some baseball cards and stuff:

* Donruss Class of 2001 (with a bobblehead!)
* 2001 Topps Heritage football - old-school football fun!

Happy bidding!
