To quote Crow T. Robot: "That is wrong in _so_ many ways."

Most telling comment: "Keep the batteries out!"

jeez, no wonder it's a hit with the girls, eh?
I bet the mother who took the batteries puts them back in when the kids are at school, LOL

I suspect at least some of the comments are spoofs. They're quite subtle ones, but surely they can't be real.
Still. It does make you wonder what the manufacturer was thinking when they decided to add the vibrate facility!

Sex and the City episode 72: "That's not a vibrator. It's a back massager."

ah so now the evil of Harry Potter grows! Not just promoting Witchcraft but (gasp) Masturbation!!!!

It beats letting kids play with toy guns...

FWIW, as a kid I owned many toy guns, some vibrated - but they were all used for play above the waist.

Can't wait to see if they put MY review up. Wrote one Sunday discussing how my 15-year old daughter plays with it for hours, and how my wife supposedly locked herself in the bedroom for hours to play with it while I was on a business trip, according to my son. I innocently surmise that they both REALLY want to be on the Quidditch team...

I don't disapprove of masturbation (at all!), but I'll add that my 3 1/2 year old son actually does love his broom. And the sound effects, and vibrating, are rather cool.

A vibrating toy, a broomstick at that, I believe they already had that toy at spensers, or was it the adult emporium, well whereever it is I guess both adults, and kids enjoy it

What goes around comes around. Somewhere I have a copy of "Poisionus Plants of Pennsylvania". In discussing the hallucinogenic properties of jimson weed, it notes that in old days "witches" would make an ointment from jimson and fat and then administer this rectally with a broomstick. And that is where the notion of witches "flying" on brooms comes from. [NOTE jimson weed is not a "fun" high]

This is very interesting. Kids everywhere want this toy and parents buy it. Surprisingly, many parents rave about it while many others rant over it.
The parents who like it talk about how much their kids love it, ride around on it all day, how much it mimics the one in the movie, etc. These parents don't mind that the broom also vibrates.
Parents who dislike it still talk about how much their kids love their new toy, however they are concerned that the vibrating component of the toy is unhealthy to a child's sex education. One reply had even said that the person didn't pay to have his or her child learn how to mastubate. These parents strongly encourage other parents not to buy this toy for their kids.
This really sparked my interest because it's about Harry Potter and looks at the different views of parents. Very informative on the ways kids are introduced to new toys and sex.

I dont see what all the fuss is about. I bought several of these for my neices ranging in age from 12-17 and they seemed to love it. Upon seeing them they all flew thier new Nimbus 2000s up to there rooms and must really enjoy it as all weekend I could hear contented giggles and squeals from the upstairs bedrooms. Thinking of filming the Quiddish team in action, anyone know if they have a Harry Potter hidden camera too

American soccer mom: "Oh no! God forbid our kids masturbate! Now, as we all know, Jesus will cry, their brains explode, and they'll grow hair on their palms!".

If there's one thing I have absolutely *no* respect for in this world, it's American fear of sexuality. That phenomenon needs to be purged from the face of the planet. To those concerned: Catch up with the rest of the western world, will ya?
