Sadly, I appear to have been wrong about Xeni's manly appearance, despite general agreement from various opinions that I solicited. Not being a professional pollster, perhaps I polluted my sources in asking their opinions. Hotornot.com does not allow me to inaccurately ask the question, though. The average rating of Xeni's public picture on hotornot.com was 8.0 from a base of 933 votes in two days, though it is gradually decreasing (from an original high of 8.3 on 200 votes). The majority finds her in the 5-8 range.

Back to the crux of the matter -- content in Cory's absence.

I have to admit that it was much better this time while he was away. Kudos Mark, et al, for doing so -- especially while busily censoring all the QuickTopic posts that you could.

However, just check out the content now that Cory has returned. Wow!

In that case, I apologize. Xeni, you are beautiful. You should change the picture of you on the side blog of BoingBoing to a different picture that doesn't make you look like a man in drag. Mark might be able to help you pick.

Yeah, that's the post to which I originally replied/posted (without mentioning Xeni). I replied that the content on BoingBoing wasn't very good last time while Cory was away, I urged him to have a good vacation and I hoped he came back soon. Mark deleted that for some reason. I wonder why.

Everybody please discuss just how great the content was while Cory was gone last time.

Hey, lutador, as far as the quality of Mark's vs. Cory's posts, it's not like Cory sneaks away and Mark posts pretending to be Cory. As I recall, Cory posted a message about his upcoming vacation and when he expected to return. Just mark on your calendar when you'll want to give BoingBoing another look, and don't come here and whine in the meanwhile.

And as far as "I can't help it if she looks like a man", that may be, but you can certainly control whether and how you express that opinion. If you can't, and feel compelled to be unpleasant, I'm not too bothered by Mark choosing to delete your more unpleasant posts from his message board.

As Cory often says to complainers, you can always go and start your own blog. Heck, it's free to create your own QuickTopic; you could just post a link here saying "I've created a QuickTopic for ragging on (Cory|Mark|Xeni|whoever) here". That way, people who aren't interested can ignore you, and you don't waste their time while they're trying to discuss the actual content of BoingBoing.

I started deleting Lutador's posts after he/she/it started making disparaging comments about the physical appearance of various guest bloggers on Boing Boing. It was really gross.
