By the letter of the rule book I think it was called properly. However I think in summer the ref's should be aware of the impact of such a call.

After having two days to think about it, the most fair call probably would have been to award the foul, give a yellow card, and say it happened in the box thus resulting in a PK. Now that's not by the rules really, but I think it serves both parties fairly.

But the ref had about 2 seconds to think about it so. Oh well, unfortunate but that's how the game is played.

MJ: Yeah, that red was a tough call, especially early in the match. You guys were tough even with 6. Looking forward to a rematch in the playoffs. Good luck in the rest of the regular season.

Good game last night Blaze. I would have certainly preferred to play with 7, rather than 6, but hopefully we'll get another shot in the tourney. Playing a man down in summer is no joke. I was the exhausted keeper getting teed off on all second half. Wow, that was fun.
