But you would have the six days of volume in 5 days...........not that it would make up for it ...........

What happens when they cut an aux. route? Does the aux. carrier go back to the bottom of the madrix or do they get to still be #1 sub?

If they were 5/1 then they are the primary relief on that route and the Matrix can be redone.........if they are 6 days a week, then they have to take an open route, can't bump anybody off a route (except a TRC) and the Matrix is redone. If all routes are covered by RCAs then they are SOL............and the Matrix can be redone.........

Can anyone give me and average hour per week as RCA in Missouri? With a population town of 2,000 people?

There is no "average".......too many variables......hell, you could become a rca for a carrier, and then the carrier get hurt or sick and the next thing you know you're workin' 6 days a week.........OR, the route is an "H" route and you don't work for months.........good luck, but there is always neighboring towns........

Does any one know when an RCA is paid the hours he acctually works instead of the time the route is evaluated at?

/m6943 when the actual hours worked on a route exceeds 40.

If the regular carrier works 5 days a week on a H route but in those 5 days he actually works 45 hours, does that mean that the RCA that works one day gets paid actual time?

A sub gets paid the EVALUATED time of the route for any day worked, UNLESS said sub works OVER 40 actual hours for the payweek in question (Saturday through Friday), in which case they would be paid straight time for the first 40 hours and overtime for anything over 40.
That's why subs SHOULD ALWAYS keep track of their hours on a daily basis if they're working multiple days in a week to see what would be more beneficial to them... staying UNDER 40 hours so they get the evaulated time for each day worked (which could be 45-46 hours, etc) or going OVER to get the overtime pay.
It doesn't matter what the "regular" hours are..they're definitely getting paid evaluated salary (except for the guaranteed-you-won't-get-any overtime period in December).

It's also my understanding that NOW (as of the most recent agreement), subs are entitled to actual hours worked the first time they do a route.

Haven't got time to find the Article for ya, but you can search the contract yourself at NRLCA.org.

/m6947 It is actual time or evaluated, whichever is greater, for the first 5 days now.
