IE has never been stable. I leave it running all day and periodically check my own forums, selected weblogs, VersionTracker, MacSurfer, what-have-you. I never have had fewer than 8 crashes a day. Not counting a few times when the rainbow-pizza/circus-blob-of-death comes up and stays up for minutes, and I have to force-quit. It never takes the machine with it, thankfully. Other annoyances: - IE loses key events and clicks _very_ often. - If a pop-up pops up, it makes sure to load most of it before a click on the close button works, and you can do nothing else while the pop-up's loading. If the Internet connection goes down at that time, it will take minutes to time out. - If a site is unreachable, the URL isn't put into the address bar, so if you have more than one window loading, you never know which one had the problem. - A pop-up or pop-under can change your carefully set window size. I wish there were a way to turn the #$%^& things off.
