Kaf- Lynch thought that everyone was as in love with Twin Peaks as they were with the mystery surrounding Laura Palmer's death. Once that area of the show had dissolved, so did the interest of the viewers.

Except for the few and freakish of us.

I am not the fan that claims TP is perfect...I readily admit the second season is subpar to the first, but it was the mood of the show--the aura of it--that kept me so riveted. Characters like Windham Earle were fantastic, while Annie left much to be desired (especially after the spicy start Coop and Audrey got off to in season one).

Reagrdless of all that, Twin Peaks for me is a feeling. An impression. Something that transcends its any obvious faults.

This...this must be how all those Star Wars geeks feel...

I can't say I've watched them all... I always start the series, and get sidetracked around episode 15 or so.. but I think it has to be episode 9 or 10 that gets me every time.. when the old room service man brings the warm milk while Cooper lies on the floor, bleeding. "I've heard about you." Then flashed the thumbs up. And anything with Sp. Agent Rosenfield.

I just can't start watching them again. I know I'll get all into it and all worked up and then all the bullshit with the chess guy and the white lodge will happen again and I'll hope that somehow things will all be different this time and that somehow in some way Lynch actually knew what he was doing and didn't just get bored with it and start thinking about other things and it didn't become a tedious self-parody at the end.

But I know it will.

Edgeling--go for it. You've been patient long enough.

And, EBK, I hate me for saying this but it's, "How's Annie?"

And then there's my favorite question:

"Where's Annie?"

"Where's Annie?"
