Our car needed more fixin' than it was worth. Almost got a powder blue '06 mustang convertible. But after driving it, it was just too noisy for me. Guess that's part of getting old.

Helping care for a friend's mother for a few days. She is worried about him while he's in hospital, not sleeping well, a little confused, lots of pain and no appetite. So I told her I'd go get anything she wanted for lunch today. What sounded good? She wanted a chicken sandwich from Arby's, a diet coke from McDonald's and some potatoes and gravy. Did I mention had already gone to 2 stores to get the kind of paper napkins she wanted earlier today while picking up her prescriptions. And after giving me the exact money, would a also get some caffiene free diet coke....she weighs 86 pounds and..... She needed help in and out of bed until my back was turned and then seemed to get up fine to get something she had forgotten. Do you think she's working me just a little? She is a sweetheart but hope my mother never hears about it! A few days of this kind of service will be PLENTY!

Morning all. Dan, I plan to do just that. I've got some laundry to do first so that will require staying inside, but I plan to wash the car this afternoon.
Have to make some phone calls also. Grandson, Mitchell, has H1N1 and is home with high fever. Gotta check on him. May make some homemade chicken and noodles and take to drop off. Mark won't let me in the house. Such a nice son! Gotta call Matt and find out when I can get my baby fix this weekend.
So I'm off to go DO something. You all have a great day. Later

It's Saturday, and the high today in Indpls will be 68 degrees with sunshine!

Get out there and DO something today! This could be the last nice Saturday until April!

I had wanted to build a street legal car from one of those Legend racecars that were 5/8 scale '38 Fords. They used 750cc or 1000cc motorcycle engines. They looked like they would be fun.

I love those little things. Wonder if they can build to use on golf courses? Of course, putting 2 adults in those seats and getting in and out frequently might not work so well!

Now that looks like something Tim McCormick would do. Tim are you lurking?

Big fad in California now is buying old bumper cars from out-of-business amusement parks, putting in motorcycle engines, and actually getting them licensed for street use.

Helen, it's great! Here's what I did with it:

http://treasuremagazines.info

Notice that when you click it, it actually takes you to a long URL that starts with "creativitycoachingsite.com", which is Kathy's website. It's just a lot easier to type treasuremagazines.com than the real one.

Chris, I was talking about the bottom task bar and Quick Launch; sorry I brought Firefox into it; I thought it was a part of Firefox.

I can right-click the task bar and go to Toolbars and select Quick Launch, but then if I try to drag a desktop icon down it won't insert itself.

But I'm getting close....

Hmmm...I have Firefox and Windows 7...but don't know how to do what you are asking. Mickey does, but he's not here right now.

Ben, I just saw that Ben Davis Alumni Group on Facebook and just joined it. That's great.

Dan, how do you like that 99¢ domain you got?

Hmmm. I'm having an even more senior moment and can't figure out what you're talking about. On my Firefox there is a bookmarks toolbar, but that is at the top, so not what you are talking about. If there is a way for that to be at the bottom, I don't know it. You add things to it by dragging bookmarks to bookmarks toolbar under Organize Bookmarks.

Ignoring Firefox, there is the regular task bar at the bottom of the screen, which can show "Quick Launch" items, if you want. To show the Quick Launch list, right-click on an empty portion of the task bar and select Quick Launch under Toolbars. Then add a new program by dragging it's executable to the Quick Launch toolbar.
