Driving through Florida in the early ninties I saw 'men-working'
style signs which proclaimed 'Surveyors Ahead'. I expected
to see the sort of surveyors who make maps, instead there
were people at the next traffic light with clipboards asking
drivers who stopped at the red lights about something or
another.

I thought that was strange, but this is crazier.
