All I'm saying is he is now paying the price for his actions so why kick him when he is down?
There are plenty of others who abuse the system still in their jobs.
How about a new topic? Are the rumors about Tour 2 for real?

Got a question. MH's assigned to the AI had their BT changed from 0600 to 1000(T-2), 1500 to 1200(T-3) and 2200 to 2000(T-1). Management has given OT to the T-1 MH's everyday, trying to clear the backlog of mail they have created. What I need to know is if there is a grievance and then what would be the remedy?

I would hope i am not the ONLY one to do this this weekend.
Copy and paste BOTH the William Burrus Letter to send in one e-mail...and the AWESOME post http://postcom.org/public/articles/2009articles/get.angry.htm posted by a Reader's Digest employee as a response to the USPS's query for help regarding what to do to improve itself. (That dude just BLASTS the Postal Service for NOT doing what it was challenged and promised many years ago to fix the COA system) I think it's link says something about anger to the USPS, or something similar. Both oughta be sent several MILLION times from all over this country by all of us to get the House Comittee to understand the lack of REAL efforts in advancing. Show THEM the smoke and mirrors! Don't just hope!

When each e-mail is ready...send them to http://oversight.house.gov/contact/ . Let's rally, folks. Now IS the time.

Also thought to copy and paste (and e-mail EACH of) etour's posts below... which read,
From the PRC - USPS Annual Tables FY2008:

Dollar value of labor compensation compared to FY2007
Increase of $112.1 million/Postmasters
Increase of $31.6 million/Supervisors
DECREASE of $527.3 million/clerks
Decrease of $91.7 million/mail handlers
Decrease of $171.6 million/ city carriers

Also of interest:
$13.3 million spent for Relocation
$11.2 million spent for Transfer of Household Effects

Fun Fact:
$6.3 million spent on rubber bands

VERA: The figures of EAS employees who previously took the VER are:
    Supervisor Customer Services-374
    Supervisor Distribution Operations-96
    Other Field EAS-581
    Postmasters-928
    HQ/HQ-related employees-190

this is a total of 2169 positions which remain open... few if any EAS will actually lose their jobs.

GM's new buyout offer at a glance

General Motors Corp. said Tuesday it was offering buyouts to 74,000 U.S. hourly workers represented by the United Auto Workers. Here are some details:

What are workers being offered?
Retirement-eligible employees (30 years or more) will be offered $45,000 for production workers and $62,500 for skilled workers to retire with full pension and benefits. Employees can take the money in a lump-sum payment, have it paid over time in monthly installments or roll it directly into a retirement account or 401(k).

Workers close to retirement (between 26 and 29 years) can take a leave with reduced pay until they reach 30 years, when they will be eligible for regular pension and health benefits.

Employees who are at least 50 with 10 years at the company can retire early with accumulated pension and health benefits.

Workers with 10 or more years of service are eligible for a one-time payment of $140,000 to leave the company with no pension or health benefits. People with less than 10 years of service are eligible for a $70,000 payment.

I am a PTF at a BMC. There is a discrepency over if we're guaranteed a set amount of hours a pay period. Is there, or is that up to the local? Just want to make sure.
