Always have enjoyed Chesterton when I've come across him. Perry's fascination with impossible murder scenarios is compelling. Somehow his various obsessions - from closed room murders to nested narratives to Spinoza - seem interrelated, or at least suggestively juxtaposed. A side note: it's curious to have learned about him and his work via blogging.

Perry's interests seem to hover around various concepts of Borges, which in turn seem to me have the sense of commonly held myth or the collective unconscious.
