After years of wanting Catherine to play WW, I changed my mind. Now, I would love to see ALI LANDRY for WONDER WOMAN! I really hope this movie will have a good story like the first SUPERMAN (Christopher Reeve) and first BATMAN (Michael Keaton) movies. THE HULK (2003) was horrible and I loved the TV Show with Bill Bixby. We need LYNDA CARTER (as The Queen), and GEORGE CLOONEY (as Major Trevor). The movie's villain should be THE CHEETAH from the comics, played by CATHERINE ZETA JONES.

Catherine Zeta-Jones would be perfect for the next Wonder Woman.

Hey Justask,

It looks like Silvstedt has been confirmed as the new WW. Parker, Lawless do not matter anymore. Its a moot point.

OK I saw a picture of Victoria - Hot Babe but she is NOT W.W. Again Andrea Parker (sick of this yet???) If not her I really coud go with Lucy Lawless.
Another question I have - Should the movie be set in the 40's (WWII) or in the present? It's hard to keep the integrity of the story by placing it in the present without somehow linking it to the past.

I think Sivstedt is agreat choice.

This is the REAL Justask. First of all Di Nero!!!!!
Great actor - WRONG venue. Bobby will always be a tough mobster type. Plus let me remind you of the STINKY Rocky & Bull@#@#@ - I mean Bullwinkle. I shudder to even think about it. Christopher Walkin (Check Spelling) can play a better villian. Also I bet V. Silvstedt could NEVER act as well as Andrea Parker. I'm telling you Parker is the one!!!!!

Sorry You are right. De Niro would be cool. What do think of the news that Vicky Silvstedt will be playing Wonder Woman? I would love to see Andrea Parker

If Jack Nicholson can play in BATMAN, and Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman play in SUPERMAN, it is not a bad idea for Robert DeNiro play in the movie, WONDER WOMAN. Don't forget Al Pacino in the lousy movie, DICK TRACEY.

hey Marcel,

there is no way Bobby De Niro is going to stoop so low as to play in a WW movie. The script sounds awful---Dr. Psycho--are you kidding? LOL. Is austin Powers going to make cameo in the movie?????

Did Joel Silver, the producer of the Warner Brothers WW movie, confirm that Silvstedt will be the Star? I know there have been rumors that Silvstedt will be Wonder Woman, but I have yet to hear any official confirmation.

Rumors are now flying that Victoria Silvstedt the Swedish Playboy model turned actress has pretty much locked up therole of Wonder Woman. She has been taking extensive acting and voice lessons in preparation for the role. Producers were very impressed with her acting. Victoria has also been putting in a lot of hours in at the gym. Her body is toned and ready. She has also been taking martial arts lessons. The 6 foot tall blonde is expected to become a 6 foot tall brunette for the role. Perfect choice if you ask me.

Catherine Zeta Jones also gets my pick. She definitely embodies what Wonder woman stands for! Chyna is a good choice should the directors want a more Olympic type to hold the torch, but Wonder Woman was more of a chameleon then a muscle bound Goddess. George Clooney is an okay pick for Steve Trevor.

Catherine Zeta-Jones???
Andrea Parker is the one. She has the look and the attitude to play ww. Again check out ANY Pretender episode.
She is tough and SEXY!!!! Wondergirl should be Jessica Alba. cheetah should be a WILD blonde - Pamela Anderson.
Steve Trevor - take your pick.

That was a horrible mix of Super & Wonder characters. Spiderman actors and actresses should stick to their movie, and Superman actors and actresses should stick to thiers. I loved the TV show, Superboy w/ Gerard Christoper, and at one point, he would have made a great Superman, but now Brett Ratner is making an entire new trilogy, and hopefully there will be a great cast. As for Wonder Woman, I would like to see Catherine Zeta Jones as Diana. Plus, Lynda Carter (Queen), George Clooney (Steve Trevor), Tiffani Amber Thiessan (The Cheetah), and Robert DeNiro (Dr. Psycho).

I certainly hope the rumor that Sandra Bullock is slated to play Wonder Woman is just that, a rumor. While Ms. Bullock is cute and funny, she is not Wonder Woman material. The only character I could see her playing in this movie is Drucilla, Diana's little sister. Even for that role I think she is a bit too old. Catherine Zeta Jones is my pick to play Princess Diana. Of course the movie would not be complete without Lynda Carter playing the Queen. She is the ONLY actress that should play that role.

I'm sorry, Joanie Lawler would bomb the movie if she starred as Wonder Woman. You need a strong ACTRESS to make this movie a success, not just the look. Plus Wonder Woman was attractive, remember?

A name that hasn't been mentioned yet that i think would be perfect is Dina Meyer. Most of you probably know her as Diz on Starship Troopers but more recently she is Oracle on Birds of Prey on WB. I don't know why but I see her fitting the role perfectly. Thoughts?

After watching SUPERMAN: The Movie (Special Edition DVD), just made me think about Wonder Woman. WONDER WOMAN can be a great movie that way the original Superman films were. They had good special effects (1978), related alot to the original Superman story with a great writer (Godfather's Mario Puzo)and excellent cast (Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, and ofcourse Christopher Reeve). I want t see the same success for WONDER WOMAN: The Movie. We need a beautiful brunette, blue eyes, and fit, someone like Lynda Carter to play Wonder Woman / Diana Prince. The other rumors for the cast sounded great and I hope are used like George Clooney to play Steve Trevor, Lynda Carter as The Queen, and Tiffani Thiessan as The Cheetah. But it would also great to have atleast one Hollywood legend like Robert DeNiro play another villain (Dr. Psycho). Using The Cheetah & Dr. Psycho as villains would be alot more interesting than the dull villains created for the 70's TV show. Good Luck to finding the right Wonder Woman. CATHERINE ZETA JONES with blue contacts...I can see it now.

Okay all the hype about Sandra Bullock starring as WW seems to have been just rumors. I just got done watching the Spiderman movie and I have to say that Kirsten Dunst could be a good WW but she would have to really work at it. Seriously, Sandra Bullock should play the roll of the Amazon; this movie is going to take forever. The Hulk will be coming out soon despite that rumors of the movie began in 1997. WW will probably not get done until 2004 or 2005.

I enjoyed TV WONDER WOMAN's last two seasons, taking place in the present 1970's. Lynda Carter's costume looked good, and close to the comic book. That's how I think the movie should. And hopefully, the movie will include a great cast (actors that can act). That's why I am so for Catherine Zeta Jones to play Wonder Woman & Diana Prince. The movie should have a good story, with the origin of Wonder Woman, a love triangle between WW, Diana, & Steve Trevor, and also have a small Wonder Girl-Donna Troy introduction. I would love to see Lynda Carter play Diana's mother, The Queen. Also good ideas are to have George Clooney as Major Trevor, Tiffani Amber Thiessan as The Cheetah, and Robert De Niro as Dr. Psycho.

Off movie topic: Anybody know if Wonder Woman TV show will be released on DVD? So far it's only on VHS from Columbia House. =(

I think Jennifer Garner would be great as Wonder Woman. She already kicks major ass on Alias and I think she has the acting chops to play her well.

What I've been wondering about is - what about the costume??? I really can't imagine anyone fighting crime wearing that little bikini from the 80's show. I mean Lynda Carter pulled it off pretty well, but that was just a tv show from the 80's. They could get away with that level of camp. A modern day Wonder Woman should be tougher, edgier, maybe a little meaner. That red, white, blue (and glittery gold!) bathing suite is just way too silly - unless of course they decide to go the Charlie's Angels route and really camp it up.

Am I the only one who thinks that Angie Harmon would be the perfect Wonder Woman? She is tall, athletic, stunningly beautiful and that raspy voice of hers is sexy to the nth Degree. Why is no one else thinking of her for the part?

I would love to see the Cast idea that Giselle came up with come to life. Catherine Zeta Jones as WONDER WOMAN. Although, I think Charlize Theron as the blue-eyed brunette could work too. And with George Clooney, Lynda Carter as The Queen, & Jessica Alba as Wonder Girl would be a great cast to a possible great movie.

Hopefully the movie will do what Superman (1978)& Batman (1989) did, which was making movie magic. Let's hope the story will be timeless the way Godfather Mario Puzo's Superman I & II is.

Anybody know where we can give this message to the makers of the Wonder Woman movie....our suggestions for the Cast?

I think its either Jordan Bayne or Jennifer Connelly deserves the role of the amazon princess. I mean both of them have what it takes to become Diana. They're both beautiful and they're both sexy. Lucy Lawless??? Nah! she'd look like Xena trying to copy Wonder Woman. Mariah's not so pretty. Sandra Bullock's not the type and Sherillyn Fenn or Rose McGowan would look like Wonder Woman turned bitchy and Nasty. You know, sort of Wonder Woman with an attitude... now that wouldnt be so bad would it???
Mars  19
08-02-2002 08:56 PM ET (US)
Lucy Lawless for sure! Sandra Bullock recently reported what she felt was necessary in an actress to pull of the role - fighting skills, dramatic but also capable of comedy/camp and this fits Lucy Lawless perfectly. Plus she has the look and her legion of Xena fans will be sure to make any movie of hers an instant success!

I completely agree!!!!!
Catherine Zeta Jones -as Wonder Woman
George Clooney-as SteveTrevor
Lynda Carter as-The Queen
The Girl from Dark Angel as-Wonder Girl

Although I do think Lara Flynn Boyle (the bad gril from Men in Black 2) should definitely be considered a good option!!!!

Lucy Lawless without a doubt would be the perfect WonderWoman. Rumours of Sandra Bullock taking the role would be as scarry as Bob Barker playing Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings. Its just not her. I hope they take Lawless into serious consideration for the role.

Waaaa! Joanie Laurer, better known as WWF's Chyna! She lost the role for the female terminator in T3. I wish that Hollywood would stop overlooking her, because she isn't the standard of beauty. Maybe, Natalie Portman? Natasha Leone? Christina Ricci?

hahaha! How about Cynthia Rothrock? No, I'm kidding. Really. I'm kidding.

Actually Jennifer Connelly isn't a bad idea at all...

Actually, there is, I believe, a Wonder Woman movie planned, with--yikes!--Sandra Bullock starring. She's so NOT Wonder Woman. I like your Sherilyn Fenn idea. Other than her, though...hmmmm...

Tine Fey (from SNL) is Greek, smart, & sexy. Jennifer Connelly would be good. Lucy Lawless would be an obvious choice, right? Then again, I'd kind of like to see Angela Bassett in the role (I mean, why not?).

And what about some other female superheroes for movies? Ashley Judd is going to be playing Catwoman. What about Elektra? Black Canary? Black Widow? Black Orchid? (What's with all the female heroes with "black" in their names?)
