What is the science behind calculating the mental age?

I'll tell you in nine months. Ooops. Except then I'll probably be thinking like a 20 year old. I'll tell you in eleven years.

I got a 19 also, and like Bonnie, I'm 29. But here's what worries me: isn't IQ the quotient produced by dividing mental age by physical age (and then multiplying by 100)? Given Mel's established testing accuracy, we've got IQs just under 66 IQ, which doesn't sound so good ...

I'm 15, and my mental age is 18. Yay for my maturity!

I got 19 and I'm 42. Age is an illusion I guess. At age 102 my answers would still be the same.

I took the test kinda seriously and got 23. I am 32 in December. Christ, do all men like to act younger then they really are?

Nah, I was probably an idiot at 16, too. But I was sort of blissfully unaware of it. I do think I was a better boyfriend at 16 than 19. I was much sweeter & considerate at 16.

I'm 26, so I suppose a 10-year difference isn't too terrible. I think 19 is a good mental age. You're probably still into the good things about being a teenager. Much like being 16 (I must feel the need to defend my mental age).
But 16 to 32 is a big difference. Were you less of an idiot at 16?

I got 16, too! And I'm really 32! Sheesh!
For women, 19 is a good mental age. For men...well, I was an idiot at 19, & most of the 19 year old males I know are idiots, too.

well, it's probably better than 16, which is what I got. But then, I was a lot of fun at 16. And a lot less stressed.
