I'm pretty well acquainted with The Fog, and if there's an upside to it, it's that it is the perfect excuse to act with a selfishness so solipsistic that it would make Gordon Gecko wonder what your frickn' deal is.
It may not feel like it, but now is the time to seek out the people who care about you most, and abuse them like mad.
Reset their radio stations to some decent music. Suck all the jelly out of everyone else's' donuts, but put the carcasses back in the box, because the trash is probably somewhere else, and the box is right there. Test out what used gum will stick to. Shoplift. Tell people they look fat. Because they do. Show up in what you slept in.
Ever eyeball those thick, plush towels while on the toilet? Sure you have.
Must be softer than paper. Give those bad boys a swipe.
It's all about you. Because you hurt. It's
you time.
People will buy it.
If they should, by chance, call you on your interesting new behavioral direction, just give `em that stuffed moose head on the trophy wall stare that says "I'm in deep, terminal angst. I'm like
this close to seeing how much of a can of Fix-A-Flat I can huff before I barf up my liver. Piss off."
