It's funny that Hack seems to draw imposters like a magnet.
Must be part of the GOP operative strategy of disruption of anything remotely resembling dissent. What was that line? "You can't handle the truth"
One of the techniques offered by the White House to their squads was to drown out protesters with the chant USA!USA!USA!
The only difference i see from brownshirts - yes, brownshirts - is the lack of violence.
"Now hold on" you might say, "that's a pretty big difference."
Yes, i might reply, but the point is exactly the same: to silence dissident or opposing voices. Exact same objective, to create the appearance of a unified mass. And that, my friends, is fascism.
"Wait!" you might protest, "Wasn't communism the same?"
well, i would concede, yes, state communism as practiced by the Soviet Union and Cuba did/does operate the same, squelching and imprisoning dissidents in the name of national security.
Perhaps that's why Bakunin, earlier and presciently, said that the worst crimes are wrapped in flags and justified "for reasons of State."
Long Live Anarchy!

HAKA - one thing you could do, that i think would be helpful, would be to put your own personal two cents worth on why the video you post is interesting and what provoked you. That way we have a little more to go on, especially if we're a bit pressed for time. Also, that might be useful in avoiding some blog viruses, as we can see whether the posting is actually from you.

BIII, that would be nice -- amazing actually -- if global warming, or some other issue, were a uniting issue for all nationalities and religions. Unfortunately, I think it could just as easily be a source of new conflicts or exacerbate existing ones as growing populations compete for shrinking resources. I hate to sound like a bitter pill, but the chips could fall either way.

Thanks Hack! Those lyrics are funny as shit... but, man, I don't ever see us doing a tune from a musical. I'm sure Frankie will now disagree with me immediately.

Bad news in Zimbabwe. Mugabe, desperate to keep power, is raiding opposition offices and rounding up foreign journalists. I guess he wants to "one up" the disaster in Kenya.

President Mugabe who is the President, long-time hero of Zimbabwe's independence, has been ruling Zimbabwe since independence and has been relatively repressive of political opposition. They just had an election and electoral monitors saw that the opposition had won but the official electoral commission has not released any results. Yesterday, according to the Associated Press, government forces raided the offices of the opposition party and also surrounded the hotel where a lot of the foreign press was staying. They detained some journalists including the foreign correspondent of the New York Times. 8 minutes ago, the Associated Press reported that the ruling party has announced that they had not lost the election, had not lost control of the parliament, and that there will be a run-off. So the stage is set for another electoral fraud.
Other recent electoral fraud took place in Kenya, and well, we all remember the fraud that took place in Florida 2000.
