David....Why didn't you ride it home? No one trucks or trailers their new bike home unless it's snowing! You'd better get those break-in miles on it fast before winter sets in. I forgot to check in here. Oh well only been a week. I did not ride it home because it was purchased through fax/mail from Barnett's in ElPaso, TX. I ALMOST did jump on a plane a couple weeks ago. I was very tempted. Barnett's is about 24-30 hours drive away. However, the update is that the bike is in hand as of yesterday. Wooo Hoo.

Hey all - another new bike owner here. Bought the 1999 HD Ultra Classic Electra Glide in Salt Lake City during the National Convention. I am commander of District 1 and belong to Post 56. Looking forward to beginning a new experience. I too had mine trucked to VA - didn't think my butt would hold up! Looking forward to taling with other Riders and I have completed and mailed my membership application.

Not my butt but my back. Old LOD injury. I can barely drive a big comfy SUV that far let alone the HOG.
Anyone have any info on local ALR posts in Fairfax County? Ready to jump in feet first just looking for a home.

My fiance has been recently relocated to Fort Monroe, Virginia by the US Army. He was a legion rider in Harker Heights, TX and is looking for a legion rider group near Poquoson, Virginia. Can you tell me which is the closest ? It looks as though Portsmouth may be??? Thanks for your help..

The Patriot Guard has a strong support base in your area Shawn. Many are vets. They would be a good resource for membership if needed.
