Mike, I will not be able to attend your event. I will be heading to California on the motorcycle with my son Luke later next week. We hope to have a great adventure. The 30th is our estimated date of getting home.

The 30th is a tough day for me as well. That is the multi-chapter HOG picnic day as well. I am sure that will draw a lot of people out of the area as it is the 1st ever event. I will do my best though but I had previously committed to the HOG event.

Thanks for all of your replies to this point. I was hoping I would not run into too many event conflicts and unfortunately, I have. So, I'm working on moving the date of the LHCP Charity Poker Run to a Sunday in July. I'm looking at the following dates in July: 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. Does anybody know of a potential conflict with any of these dates?

I'm a Harley ride as well and realize I can't compete with a Harley only party/event. It's kind of like a mini-national rally.

Thanks for your input....

I see I can froget the 22nd of July as Post 177 in Fairfax is sponsoring an event. Any problems with the 1st, the 8th, the 15th or the 29th?

8th is the ALR National Music City Romp. Some time, I think, in July was the big event just across the border into West Virginia at a ski resort somewhere. I also the 1st is the Ashburn FD Poker Run. 13-15 is Gettysburg Bike Week and 12-15 July is our Department event in Falls Church.
There are several good events calendars out there to look for conflicts. http://www.lets-ride.com/event/virginia.htm is one of them. I would check those and area HOG calendars. You are not going to not conflict with something especially in the summer months but major events such as a multi chapter HOG meeting should be thought about.

Hey guys and gals. Anyone happen to have saved the pic of the vest recommendations? Thought I had it and I do not. Seems to be not working on the site. Any help you can give me would be great.

Also noticed the minute taking at the meeting the other day. Sorry I did not get the young ladies name. Knowing me I heard it and being so bad with names I forgot it but..... Anyway can someone please send out a "proposed by laws" document. We have a NOVA Riders Meeting on Sunday and I would LOVE to be able to have it ready for Grady to present it to the 50 or so folks in the area that did not make the trip. Be nice to put it up here of if you want to email me off group you can do so at hdshaw@gmu.edu.

Thanks in advance for both pieces of help.

I've checked several biker event calendars and see that there isn't much going on on Sunday, July 29th, so I've decided to reschedule the Landstuhl Hospital Care Project Charity Poker Run for that date, Sunday, July 29th. Hopefully, nothing else will come up that causes a major conflict with this event.

I will post more information as that becomes available....

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your inputs during our Convention. We did get what we wanted and they added a couple of items that we should of thought of.

Sharon Lewis took all the pictures at our Convention on June 3rd. She will get a copy of this email.

Thom Guthrie may have a picture of the requirements for the old vest. He will also get a copy of this email.

Bob
