Unable to get motivated by work at the Day Job, even though I am falling behind on my deadlines, I instead spent part of the afternoon hacking words. "City" is now down to 14,875 words!
Now all I need is a logical ending, and I'll be a happy fiction writer (don't ask if I'm a happy technical writer, unless you want a brutally honest answer)...

Mike, I would think it would be a very easy thing to write at your day job. After all, anyone comes by, it'd be fairly obvious as to what you're doing: writing. Perfect!
'Course, there might be problems if they start wondering why your manuals keep making references to dark forces.

Yeah, Jon, it's almost TOO easy sometimes, with my manager out in California and no one looking over my shoulder here in NC. I'm spoiled. I'm also waaay behind on my manuals...
