Howdy -- just curious to see if people like the tiny changes I made here -- adding the quote to the bottom of each day's entry (stole that from Greg van Eeekhout) and keeping the colors to a minimum (no more light blue on the left-most column).
Or does it Not Really Matter?
Except to me?
Have a good one!

"Here" being my actual journal page, not here in the QuickTopic message board... :)

Help! I'm hitting the wall! I have about 1200 words to go until I hit 50k. I'm running out of steam, and no amount of caffeine will recharge me anymore...

Your discipline and determination are to be admired, Mike.
Me, I just woke up from a long nap, and I'm now to reward myself by brewing a cup of coffee.

Congrats, Mike! Glad to here you hit your goal. I can't imagine a 7,000+ word weekend output. Amazing.
Yeah, and how about that rain?! And hail! I'm still waiting to see how the car has fared. Might I add, the fairly new car. Cripes. Best not to think of it.

Oh, and I dig the site changes. And thanks for the Memento short story link. I read and enjoyed it, though I was surprised to see that the overlap between the story and the movie was rather slight (in terms of what was depicted).

Thanks guys! I'm a little brain-fried, but actually feeling much better than I could've ever imagined. I had lots of fun, especially with Shermie, the prez of Macy, NE.
Hope you're not flooded over there in Cary, Scott! We got dumped on today, eh?
Had to drive all over Raleigh to find Gaiman's _Smoke and Mirrors_, but darned if I didn't find it!
Just read the "Memento" story, and liked it (tho I'd have liked it more not having seen the film first).
