Hey, Reviewer Man: just thought I'd tell you that in the new ish of the Bulletin of SFWA, your name has been mentioned in the article "The State of Short SF and the Magazines," on page 41. In it Gardner Dozois says:
"There's plent of good new writers out there. There's Charles Stross, Liz Williams...Matthew Jarpe, Michael Jasper, Cory Doctorow..."
Granted, you're in a pack of about twenty. But still!

Holy crap! That's incredible. Thanks for sharing, Jon! Now I gotta wait at the mailbox for my issue of the Bulletin to show up.
As if I NEED a reason to crave the sound of the mailman's engine revving up to the mailbox...

Oh yeah, one more nice tidbit -- check out the last page of the June 2002 Asimov's, which arrived in the mail today.
Nifty, nifty stuff.

Congrats on the mention by Dozois and the Tangent gig! Is it a regular kind of thing you're doing for them?

Thanks Scott. I'm helping out at Tangent with a hanful of online story reviews. Not a lot, 'cuz I don't want to overdo it, but just enough to really enjoy getting into some good stories. Just like critiquing other writers' stuff, writing a review helps me as a writer, immensely.
And I'm still shocked by Dozois' kind comment. Very cool.
Only one more month until "Natural Order" hits Asimov's!
