Also, the decision doesn't address three-time petty felonies, which I believe are already immune from the three-strikes law. The situation at hand is people with two -violent- felonies on their record, who are subject to three strikes conviction for the third felony which is petty (e.g. shoplifting). Not quite the same thing, but still an excess which I'm pleased to see the Appealers throw out.
