The Bulgari Connection. Fay Weldon gets paid to mention the jewelry glistening on protagonists. And in the title. Life precedes art.

 I was whining 20 years ago about having dealer decals on my car ... there ought to be an advertising discount for that, too.

 For that matter, why not charge micropayments for mentions in weblogs? Send Calvin Klein an invoice for the use of your body as advertising space?
