p.s. while I'm here, I can mention that Phil told me about an inventory for sale on eBay and I have bought it. I will transcribe it and add to the site and then send it to the Totnes Museum to put with their other Windeatt documents. It is an inventory of the goods of Mary Windeatt, the wife of William Fabian of the Totnes tree. Her maiden name was KNOWLES and she was the grandmother of Francis Knowles WINDEATT of whom there has been some correspondence below.
